Congrats on a great start, brother! But like Gr8white said, be careful about glamorizing nicotine. That shit wants you to be her slave. That shit wants to clown you by taking your jaw, face, tounge, teeth. That shit wants to laugh at you, kill you and torture your family. That ain't no "trusty sidekick."

Learn to HATE that bitch with everything you got. Learn about addiction...chronic brain disease. Learn from the bad-ass quitters. We know what you're going through because we have all be right there before. We know what we're talking about.

Post roll, stay strong and stay quit, brother!!!

gk-

my fellow December quitter. You are in a good place right now. Be prepared, the next two to three days will test you. When all the nicotine is gone (about 72 hours), you will feel a great calm over your entire body. Make a noted decision to check your tempermant at 72 to 80 hours. It's amazing!!!

ONE DAY at a time.. Nothing more, nothing less. Post roll, reach out to the veterans and get to know your December brothers. Welcome aboard.

Your " trusty sidekick " was nothing but a cancer causing poison and that added focus was just you getting your fix before the symptoms of withdrawl started up again. Great job. Keep up the quit. It will get better.
Enough is enough. Time to take control back from the nic bitch. My HOF speechGR8WHITEBUFFALO

48 hours free!!! Wow, IÂ’ve never felt so good about a decision in a long time. On the other hand, IÂ’ve never felt like IÂ’ve been run over either. Still not much sleep and itÂ’s really hell not having my trusty sidekick standing by to give me that little bit of inspiration or focus that I need. What an emotional ride itÂ’s been, things are still tense, but seem to be getting a little easier to deal with. I still feel like sweaty dynamite, but slightly less volatile.

This ^^^ is QLF. It pays off.
I have had a dozen or more days of insomnia in the last 114... you know what? It pays off.

24 hours ago I decided i was going to quit. I dumped a half can of snuff in the trash and said goodbye. It was at that moment that time stopped, I can't believe it's only been one day, I experienced insomnia for the first time in over 15 years, jumpiness and agitation.
Yep...sounds like you got it right on the first try. That is how it is done, my brother!!! Cherish the fog...that is the feeling of healing. You took the first step. We're here for the rest. Post roll, read everything you can (you're not sleeping anyway, right?) and stay quit.

I'm pumped to be quit with you today!!!

Congrats on the decision to take your freedom back. I think the clock went backwards the first five days of my quit. Didn't sleep for two weeks. Was on an emotional rollercoaster. Power through - you can do this, and it is worth it! You'll always be an addict but the suffering will stop.
Hang in there GK. It gets better. If you read the info on the site, you'll see that it takes about 72 hours for the poison to clear your system. After that, the head games begin.

We all quit one day at a time here. Regardless if we have 5 days or 5,000 days quit, we do it one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't worry about next week. Just worry about staying quit until you lay down tonight. Make sure you prep with some Nyquil or Tylenol PM or your drug of choice. Drink so much water that you feel like you'll explode, and then drink some more. If you have a health food store around, go pick up a gallon of pure cranberry juice (not the sugar/water mix they sell at the grocery store). That will help you detox.

You have made the decision to win. Now...refuse to fail. No matter how bad you feel, REFUSE TO LOSE. Don't go back to the can. Stick it out until you clean your system, start to feel better, and take your life back.

Bottom line, it does get better and it is SO WORTH IT. Refuse to fail.
