Hello everyone! My name is Chase Best and i have dipped since age 15. Looking back it was one of the worst decisions that I ever made. Numerous times I have tried to quit with no long term success. I have turned to this website via a recommendation from a colleague of mine, Ryan Baldwin( i hope i can use his name). At age 10 I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called Dense Deposit Disease. It is very rare and there is no cure, even if I was to have a kidney transplant I would still be faced with the disease. In order to do all I can to slow the progression of this disease I need to address my dipping habit. I know it will not be easy but I am glad there is a support group such as this. Thanks!

Chase
Congrats on the quit Chase, I commend you on you journey of getting yourself better. We are all here to help you in any way we can. We are in this together. I quit with you today.

Steakbomb nailed it, it's an addiction we share, not a habit. It may seem like we are mincing words, but until you realize you are an addict you will have a hard time quitting. See you on roll call!

Midg is dead on Brotha! He is a fellow DoG (my quit group January). We have a great group ready to support you every day! All we ask is u promise first thing by posting roll. That promise then eliminates Nic as an option. No gum, no Nic patches, nothing. Load up on seeds or fake dip or regular gum. Come here to rage when u get pissed...it will happen. Don't take out on your family they didn't shove the cat turd in your lip...u we I did.

Sounds like you have all the reason to start quitting for who's number 1, that being you. Just remember, you're not dealing with a dipping habit...you're dealing with nicotine addiction and honestly, that is way worse than a dipping habit. You can "dip" fake chew, mint leaves, ground coffee, or whatever...and that's OK. Here at KTC we quit nicotine in all of its forms, because that is how you truly quit...you need to quit the addiction.

I'm pulling for you bro, get your name on that roll call and make that promise. Promise yourself and promise us that you will not use nicotine for that day. We'll do the same with you. Get involved, read up on the site, and build some accountability...build some bonds.

See you on roll.

Well Chase, first of all I wish you the best with your condition. I know how tough some of these "rare" medical conditions can be.

We make this pretty simple here:
1: Dump all nicotine down drain
2: Post roll (in your case in the May 2016 Pre-HOF quit group, since May is when you will hit the "glory" of 100 days quit) every day, promising not to use nicotine in any form
3: Keep your word.
4: Keep posting roll every day.
5: Continue on your way to being a bad ass quitter.

It will be a challenge, but you can do it!
