My quit date was 6/12/15, and I have managed to stay good to this point. I am not having the urges to go to the store and get a can, but I am feeling the effects of not chewing.
I chewed copenhagen/skoal/grizzly for the past 12 years, about 1 can per day...
I have the support of my wife and kids, and I have another 1 on the way (why it is time that I grow up past this), but I am feeling down today. I almost feel a fog around me that I am jittery and can't stay focused, and I am grumpy!
Will this pass and what can I do to help myself?
Anything helps.
Thanks
Congrats on your quit!
Some people come out of the 'fog or funk' after a week or two, so you are almost there.
1. Figure out how to post roll, that is your daily promise; 1st to yourself, 2nd your fellow quit brothers and then your family.
2. Exercise and drink a ton of water, flush out the poison. and get gum, seeds, candy, and fake chew (if needed)
3. Quit for yourself, your family can be motivation but this is something you need to selfishly do for you and own it.
4. Get active on the site, build a network of support and post every day.
5. Lastly, get positive you are turning over a new leaf and you are going to succeed
Proud to quit with you
