Welcome aboard Klw. Nice job of posting roll today as well. Your quit group will have two men that have more experience in withdrawl pangs than most, and they will be contacting you by pm this afternoon/evening to trade telephone numbers. Look up at the Inbox(1) on the upper right hand side of this screen and open it up. It is a personal message from me with my telephone number on it. Use it when things get confusing, shitty or just when you need to vent...and I mean use it 24/7. Congratulations on making the best decision you will ever make. Wayne

Seen you posted roll. Excellent! Start reading brother. Learn your enemy. Read everything you can on nicotine and addiction. There is a lot of information on this site. Feel that head with quit knowledge. Get some numbers from your quit brothers. Build you accountability and make this quit the most important thing in your life. If you need a number let me know. Glad to be quit with you.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

... I also picked a quit day, which some people say is good. ....
Who is "some people'? Picking a quit day is pretty useless, unless the day is today. Oh...how many times was I gonna quit on/when___________. I think it was Jan 23, 2012 when I picked the only day for quitting that mattered to me. The date I picked? Jan 23, 2012.
I'm with zam on this one. Who is filling your head with bull crap. I would listen to everyone of these guys. The difference here is tried and true quitters. We don't play quit,, we are quit. 1000's, literally 1000's have used this site to quit. Why not add your name to our roll call. Add one more person that has taken back their life.

I'll be looking for your post today my friend. Lets do this. No more games. No more trying to figure out more ways to continue poisoning yourself. Screw the poison. How bad do you want this,, that's the real question I have?!?!

Thanks guys. I already checked out things on the welcome page. I will post roll tomorrow when I am 100% nicotine free. I'm feeling confident this time. I've tried mixing, Nicolette, and cold turkey in the past. I think the mixing will help this time because I stuck with it and I've gotten used to the taste and feel of the fake stuff. I also picked a quit day, which some people say is good. I've already been dealing with no sleep, dizziness/fog, and major bitchiness today. I'll check in tomorrow.

Thanks again
Post now! When you quit is your day 1 even if it's 11pm. Like smokeyg said you may rip your vagina 'Crazy' but the new life will be worth it. I also did a lot of pre, I had a date set, was mixing cope and Oregon mint and even took chantix that I had left from a previous failed pause. This bunch talked me into ripping the bandaid off and I've been watching the addiction scar heal a little each day now for 609 days and can promise you if you put 110% into your quit and follow the KTC plan you will win not only the daily battles but the whole fricking WAR!!!

Great decision. Rip off that band aid and let the healing begin. The first few weeks will be rough most likely, especially the first 3 days. But after a few weeks you will feel really good. Stick to the program, it works. I'm quitting with you right now! Do not touch any nicotine! Make sure and post roll in the march 2014 group, do it every morning. Provided all your nicotine is flushed, go post roll right now! That's your promise not to use nicotine for that day. It's one day at a time. Really simple, and very effective. You can do it!!!

Hi, I've been looking around here for a couple of weeks and I am quitting tonight. I've been mixing longhorn and smokey mountain for a month. I started at 50-50, I'm now at 83% smokey Mtn. Starting tonight, I will only use the fake stuff. I am hoping it will make withdrawal easy, I've already been, maybe still am in the fog, and was dizzy a few weeks ago. I started using Copenhagen and skoal 20 years ago. Any advice would be great.
Welcome Klw! Congratulations on a great decision!

First thing to do is read the Welcome Center and read the "hows" and "whys" behind posting roll. Joining a quit group and making a daily commitment to yourself and this community has been the cornerstone of my quit.

I tried the mixing approach in the past and never made my quit stick. I was never fully invested. I thought it would be easy. It wasn't. Your quit is going to be painful. There's no way around it.

Think of it like giving birth. Your vagina may rip, but you'll have a beautiful new life ahead of you.
