Luker welcome to the site. Read as much as you can here. The one thing that will be driven home again and again is your addiction to dip, and your quit will be very similar to lots of us. The good thing for you is because your the same as we are, you CAN be quit like we are too. The first two weeks sucks a bag of dicks. Get through it any way you can. Working out, drinking water, throwing anything in your mouth other than dip. Fight hour by hour minute by minute, you control what goes into your mouth....not your addiction. Good luck.
Thanks for that. You make a good point about how strong addiction is. No way around it just gotta go through it. 'bang head'

Happy to have you guys supporting me and keeping me accountable.
Accountability is a two way street man. When you're strong, let people lean on you. Take when you need to take. Most importantly, own this shit.

You're the only person that can control your actions.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Just a suggestion, but if I were Luker and tr0w I would exchange numbers and start building accountability with each other. You are both bad asses that are going through the same bullshit at the same time. You don't want to let each other down when you are part of a team fighting hard to win... So get yo work and build that team. Exchanging numbers with some dude over the Internet seems kinda ghey and weird, right? That's what I thought 707 days ago too.

Congrats to both of you for quitting!

Don't forget to post in the roll call thread.

March 2015

It does seem to help us keep our resolve from day to day.

Also, it lets the rest of us know you're still with us, so we don't start to worry. :D

Hi Luker!
Glad to be quitting with you!
I'm just starting on my fifth day of quit (fourth full day), and I'm feeling lots better than yesterday.
Withdrawal might be a pain in the ass, but it's definitely survivable.

Besides you have already done the hardest part... that's deciding to quit, then taking action.
After that, it's just a matter of riding out the withdrawal.

Hang in there :)

Sup ya'll,

Day 1: Been dipping for 12 years, today is the day that I stop. For years, I've wanted to quit, haven't mustered up the gumption to do it. Excited to quit, nervous about the withdrawals, just hoping to get some sleep tonight.

Forcast for tonight is alot of anxiety, cold sweats, insomnia, and constipation! Ain't no joke! Got plenty to do though, thankful for this forum, it looks like a great community supporting people looking to make a positive change. Good stuff.

What's up with ya'll what do you want to know?
