Hey Brad. How's the fog?

Here's a promise... it wil lift. And when it does, 2 things will happen. You are going to experience life with more clarity and focus than you have in decades. And you are gonna be pissed that you missed this for so long.

What you are feeling now is not the new normal. Better days are ahead, one day at a time. Keep the faith.

People that throw out tobacco samples to kids should be neutered. Just saying.

Thanks for reaching out in the Intros CBrad- that's a great way to help others. And your story re the gum grafts is a good one to help people remember how serious this really is. Keep checking in here, keep building all the support you can- my early attempts to stop were a lot like your description, and like you it took this place to make it this far--- and one more day free is on tap for each of us, today!
This info helped me early on, and still does today: https://whyquit.com/whyquit/linksaaddiction.html

Quitters I’ve met so far: Ihatecope, >Pinched<, T-Cell, grizzlyhasclaws, Canvasback, BaseballPlayer, Cbird65, ERDVM, BradleyGuy, Ted, Zeno, AppleJack, Bronc, Knockout, MookieBlaylock, Rdad, 2mch2lv4, MN_Ben, Natro, Lippizaner, Amquash, ChristopherJ, GDubya, SRohde  -- always eager to meet more!

Better Late Than Never

Greetings All! KTC is awesome – wish I found it sooner! I experimented with Skoal Pouches when I was approximately 8 years old. Some jackass threw out samples of the shit during a St. Patrick’s Day parade I attended with a friend. That experimentation led to routine usage (Pouches and later Cope) by the time I was a teen. I managed to quit on my own in my early 20s (cold turkey) but willing chose to resume almost a decade later. During the past 17 years, I tried to quit again, to no avail. Like most, I didn’t get the difference between habit and addiction. It got to the point I was dipping all day long…and craving it through the night. Eventually, I admitted to myself I had let it control me. Fortunately, I found KTC! In the past 60 days I’ve had a gum graft to try and repair some of the damage done. I’ll probably need 2 more grafts in the not too distant future. The fog has been overwhelming at times but KTC serves as my constant. The one post I missed was due to the fog (in my mind I had posted but reality was another matter). I know there are many folks who have walked (and continue to walk) the same road. I promise to stay focused and quit with you all, one day at a time!
