Remember you have plenty of people to turn to here if you have a rough day. I do not give you permission to use nicotine without calling or texting me first.

Hi Guys

You know, y'all are right. I read the posts last night before bed and came to the realization (like Supple said) I was lying to myself. I tried quitting on my own a few years back by tapering off, lasted a whoppin 8 days before packing a chaw back in. Obviously that game plan didnt work and set myself up for failure last time, what would have made this time around any different?!

Can was dumped last night, onto a TRUE Day 1. Amen for y'all and gum.

As for frozen water, I'm from Canada, all our water is frozen ;P

Welcome to the brotherhood. Use all the tools this place offers. Never forget that this decision your making could very well be saving your life. I take my quit as a life or death decision every day.
You want to hear a doozy of a lie? When I first found ktc I thought the people talking to me in chat were just jealous that I was still "able" to dip. Think about how insane that sounds to a non addict, or to me now that my head is clear. Looking back now, those people cared more about me than I was caring about myself. That's what this chemical can do in our brains.
Welcome to the rest of your life! Quitting is easy, staying quit is a whole nother ballgame. Man up get it done! We're here for you. Talk the talk and walk the walk. Post roll early and every day. Proud of you! Quit on!
Love the addict stories in this thread right off the bat. From the dip economics (that's the most expensive can I've seen) to Supple's "able" to dip story...these are great illustration of the pathetic mindset we have as addicts. True slaves to the can. All of this stuff, however, is ammunition should you choose to use it. When you post roll, when you promise to yourself never to be that person again, it's these stories/examples of slaveship that you must use as ammunition. Quitting isn't easy, it's going to suck major balls at time...but, when you get through that suck and realize life as a quitter, I'm tellin' ya...nothin' better. Even after 2 years, I'm still in the euphoric stage of being quit.

Glad to see you made it into the frozen pool. The water will begin to warm as you post roll daily and participate with your group.

Great advice from these guys.

Jump in the water is fine. The first few days will suck but then it will get better. Grab yourself by the sack and join the rest of us.

I quit 682 days ago and haven't looked back. I live the freedom I now have.

If you are ready to quit then dump out any tobacco you have. I know the water is frigid, but the best way to do it is, get a running start and dive in. No one here is going to lie to you about what's best for you. This place is about beating this powerful addiction and overcoming every lie we are willing to tell ourselves so we can continue dipping.

I'm here today asking you to have faith. Have faith in yourself. Have faith that the best thing you can do, is never put another dip in. But it starts today. It starts here. And it continues daily, as your quit is reborn every time you wake up. You only ever have to fight for 24 hours.

The veterans here will not steer you wrong. They will tell you the cold truth, when all you can do is lie to yourself. If you still have any dip, dump it. You don't need it now, and you never did. Post roll daily. Read, learn, internalize. Grow, fight, win.

Hey Y'all

My name is Chris and after dipping a can of Cope Snuff everyday for the past 15 years its time to pack it in instead of pack a tin.

Purchased my last tin of snuff this morning at at $32.84/tin CDN it was getting to the point it was way too expensive to keep the lip bulging. Averaging $229.88 a week, $919.52 a month and $11K a year it wasn't worth it.

Fortunately, I have a great support system in my beautiful wife and happened to stumble across this forum/group. Ordered myself 12 tins of the Chattanooga Hooch (6 spitfire and 6 original) and will be tapering my chaw down dramatically.

I look forward to meeting and sharing in this journey with everyone here, and please feel free to whoop this Canadian Rednecks ass if I falter.

Welcome to KTC CeeDub. In addition to the money savings, think of the freedom. Freedom to not have to poison yourself every single day. We are all in the same boat here. Head on over to the April 2016 HOF group and post your promise Today: April 2016 Group. I look forward to seeing you on roll.
I'm going to echo what Dano said CW, welcome to the nuthouse! Just remember that quit groups here don't do taper: it's either no nicotine or "the highway" when it comes to the actual groups. So when you are ready (maybe today?) dump the rest of that cancer in a can and find what true freedom is brother!

Quit on!
