  • Interests: I was addicted to nicotine for about 19 years before I actually realized that I was an addict to a drug. Allen Carr helped open my eyes with LionHeartedGirl (my sister). I am currently on day 2 and because of the frame of mind and different point of view that "The Easy Way" has given me, I don't doubt for one moment that I have ingested the last bit of that weed for the rest of my life. I am 35 now and am setting a goal of living long enough to have saved $100,000 because of my quit. At the same time, I am setting the goal of not smoking TODAY! One step at a time, while keeping my eyes on the horizon.

Hey everyone, I've been dipping for almost six years and have previously tried to quit without much luck. I've come to realize how much dipping affects my life and that I'm planning daily routines around my dipping schedule. I'm not going to do that anymore.
I love the last line. I'm not going to do that anymore. That's quitting words. As soon as you stop using luck you can start taking your freedom back. Luck is for the lotto. Screw the poison. You want your freedom... Take it!!!
Agreed.

Glad to see you here.
Nice job posting roll today! Congrats on posting day 1. Do whatever u need to do today to stay clean today. Gums, seeds, food, candy, workout... whatever it takes. You can do this. Welcome aboard!!!
Great decision to quit. I will just echo what others have said. Go all in on this quit; post roll every day; continue to post updates in this thread; and read everything on this site.. HOF speaches, Ientire intro threads of anyone and everyone, whatever you can find on here.

Welcome Matty,
From the thread title, you sound like a seaman. You and Gmann will get along well.

It sounds like you and I came to the same conclusion about dipping - that we were simply NOT gonna continue to build a life around a dipping schedule. The first thing to do is flush every trace of dip down the toilet. Don't let it even be a temptation. Flush it. Now. Even that super-secret-dusty-emergency-can-that-you-think-you'd-never-get-desperate-enough-for that's under the car seat.

Then I suggest you simply read everything in the WELCOME CENTER, as much as you can in the Words Of Wisdom and HOF Speeches. When you understand what it means to post roll, head over to the November quit group and post roll. You don't need a Mod to "place" you in a group. If the last time you used nicotine was 7/25 or later, the NOVEMBER 13 quit group is your group. Just go there and post.

Go all in man. Don't half ass this quitting thing. I'll be you didn't half-ass-it when you were feeding your addiction, so put that same energy into quitting.

Check Inbox(1).
*Quit today. Full stop. No qualifiers. Tomorrow?... IDK, IDC.

Welcome,

This is an awesome site full of motivating information and people. If you're serious, and you sound serious, this is the right place for you. As they mentioned, read the welcome center especially about "posting roll". It has helped me and every other quitter on here keep their commitment to their quit.

PM me or anyone on here for help.

Ross

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Matty B, once the Mods place you, you should be in the November 13 Quit Group, which is a strong young group of quitters.

Read and read and read everything on the site, this is a great guide. Remember to post role daily as that is your promise to quit that day. Rememebr that it is your promise to your group. Be accountable and use the site it helps all of us.

Be a bad ass today!
