If you want my digits, just ask and they will be yours, but I expect yours in return.

Hello all, Scott here.  I quit dipping and alcohol 12 days ago and seems like the acid reflux has come back pretty hard.  I take 40mg of Protonix daily and for the most part, it has been under control.  Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, how long did it last?

Hey Scott,

Your body is currently trying to get used to not having nicotine and tobacco in it and it is fighting back.  I would recommend staying away from the spicy and acidy foods for awhile.  For me it lasted 2-3 weeks but I wasn't real bad and could control it with Pepcid Complete.  It may take a little longer for you and you should gradually reintroduce any foods you tale away during this time.  Don't go gang busters once you've been acid free for a week.

Are you going to join your quit group and start posting roll with us or do you think you are going to continue to quit on your own?  I hope you choose the former and join us.
