Welcome to the January 2016 group, Chef.

I don't have any insight, or words of wisdom, because I'm an addict just like you. All I can say is, if you promise not to use nicotine today, I'll be here for you doing the same thing.

If all goes well, we'll do it again tomorrow.

Way to dive in and post roll Chef! I see you have some quitters ready to help get it down the "official" way, but the only way to screw up is to not post roll at all.

Congrats on the decision chef. You will find there are many around here with the same story.

Post roll and make that promise to yourself and this brotherhood that you will not use nicotine for today and keep that promise. That is the cost of the support and knowledge of the brotherhood. Wake up and do it again tomorrow.

Drink lots of water and read and post on here. It will suck at the beginning and this site is what got me through it. It will get better but remember what you feel like now. You have the power to never go through it again.

PM me if you ever need anything.

I am proud to quit with you today.

Welcome! First things first: post roll in January 2016 Roll Call. That is your promise that you will not use nicotine today. Keep your promise. And then come back here first thing tomorrow morning and do it again.

You're going to quickly descend into the dark bowels of "The Suck." Arm yourself with plenty of water, some kind of alternative (seeds, SmokeyMountain, coffee grounds, candy), and KTC. You won't be alone down there: we've all been there.

You're going to rock this thing chef_grace: cook yourself up some quit, baby!

It is tough. We are addicts and need to retrain ourselves to hate this product that WILL kill us if we don't stop. Please read the Welcome Center and learn how to post roll call, which is our daily promise to not use nicotine for 24 hours. I used for 17-18 years and was using 1.5 - 2 cans a day for years, if I can do it, so can you.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

2.5 Cans Per Day for 15 years
« on: October 21, 2015, 08:21:00 AM »
So i have finally made the decision to kill the can. After 15 years of 2.5 cans per day i have seen the drastic effects on my receding gums and tongue. I have finally decided that i will not let a canned product dictate how long i will be around to see my children. It will be tough as i have lived with a dip in my mouth for years, but i can do it. I'm ready to be free of these chains and live my life without worrying if i run out of snuff.
