So, every other time I have quit, I have done it on my own.
So you've never really quit. Stay on the site. Post roll daily first thing in the morning. Read other people's stories. Get phone numbers from guys in your quit group (or from other groups) and build an accountability network around yourself. It could literally be what saves your life.

Congrats on a making a great choice, Sr. Kickass. 4 days is huge...but it is babyshit along side what you can do. The nic is likely out of your system now. All that is left is the mental part.

Your attitude will greatly influence your success here. Don't dwell on the fact that you feel like shit. You GET to feel like shit because you YOU made a great choice. Quitting is a privilege. It is an honor. You get to hang out in here with bad-ass quitters (and a good mix of perverts) because you earned it. You got to kick nicotine's ass today. And you'll get that chance tomorrow too. These are times worthy of celebration. Puff out your chest and give a stranger a high-five. YOU ARE WINNING.

I get sick on tired of people saying they're...well, sick and tired. Nobody gets free for the asking. You have to earn it. And you, sir, are earning it. You should be so fucking pumped about yourself and what you're doing here with us that there is no time to feel like shit.

I'm not saying I didn't feel like shit early on...and from time to time thereafter. But when I turned that tables on the Nic Bitch and started focusing on my success and the success of those around me, I started to notice that I was in control for the first time since I was about 17-18 years old. And that was even more reason to be pumped.

It is all about attitude. YOU are in control of your attitude. Are you going to sit around and cry about the poison you don't have anymore, or are you going to get pumped about saving your own life?

Good to see you are posting roll early. I know football teams losing are stressful, the wife hollering at you can be stressful, truck breaking down, kid getting in trouble, in-law issues, stuff at work... You know what would be more stressful? A diagnosis of cancer in your head that is predicted to take your life within a year or two. That's the sort of thing you and I both have to remember when we are tempted by the nicotine whore that wants to take us back so bad she will use any method she can. Hang in there, it's going to get better. I'm quit with you today.

I'd love to suffer with you, but please learn how to post roll first! 3 days on your own is great, but now jump in here head first and learn to use this site to the fullest. It saved my life, and it can do the same for you.
4 days is awesome man, and glad you got through those first 3 on your own.

TW is referring to roll call (the basis to our program here at the KTC). Roll call is simply a promise that you won't use nicotine today in any way, shape, or form. The promise expires tomorrow, but feel free to renew it as many times as you want to today. You see, quitting is all about the now. We don't quit for the rest of our lives here. We quit right now. We plan to be quit in the future, but we can't do that now.

Anyways, take a look over at our WELCOME CENTER (---follow the link by clicking). It'll tell you what we do, why we do it, and how to do it. When you are ready (and since you're 4 days in today), go post roll HERE. You are in the December 2014 HOF group. This signifies when you will be 100 days quit, and you will be surrounded by a bunch of badasses doing the same thing you are today: quitting.

You can do this man.

Ask any questions you want. I don't have all the answers, but we will keep you quit.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Just as a building starts with architectural drawings. Your daily quit begins with a promise.-Scowick 2/13

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Ignoring history or erasing history fixes nothing and leads you inevitably down the same path.-69franx 04/30/2021

So, every other time I have quit, I have done it on my own. I know I can do it but I always come back so this time I plan on having you wonderful people to suffer along with me. I quit on the 1st. So, today is day 4. I still have the nicotine withdrawal headaches. I also stopped drinking soda at the same time because I noticed all the other times I quit, I basically replaced nicotine with caffeine and sugar. I still drink coffee and unsweet iced tea though. So, yeah. I am not sure what else to say except. LETS DO THIS!
