hey scottie,

glad you're quit. it's the best decision you'll make. i've quoted a part of your intro that i have a minor problem with. I'm sure you didn't mean it the way it was typed, but the small shit matters during your first couple weeks of quitting.

KTC's support is not here when you need it. it is here (just like you need to be) every day. this is not a place where you can just pop in when shit gets tough. it is a community of quitters that are here daily to take tobacco off the table for the day. we are here to support one another, but if you're not here every day and if you're not interacting, you ain't going to get much support.

the real value of this place is realized when you're posting roll in several quit groups, when you're helping a newbie navigate the shoals of early quit, or when you're talking a quit brother off the ledge. there's a lot of information here that you need to read and understand about addiction, quitting tobacco, and living a new life; but the most important thing you can do is be an active quit brother. do THAT and you'll be successful. you'll quit every day for yourself, but in dark times, you'll have hundreds of quit brothers and sisters at your side helping you fight off the nic bitch.

i've said my peace, and like i said before, i'm sure you didn't mean it like it was typed. all good in the hood. quit on.

Very good! Be aggressive and face your addiction head on. You are about to start feeling rage if you haven't yet. Spare the family they didn't put that poisonous weed in your system, and they don't understand withdrawal. We do! Pm me if you need anything.

hey scottie1,
Good to see someone else wanting to take back their life!
You can do this! It's gonna take a lot of honesty on your part. You say you've tried to quit before, well now you have found the site with the TOOLS. It is up to you to use them, daily, you will need them daily to be quit. There is no doubt in my mind or any other quitter here that you will "need" the support.
please read the following link: Important
We quit ONE day at a time. We don't worry about the past as it isn't real. We don't worry about the future cause it isn't here yet. We focus on TODAY, the present, the gift we have each a.m. to POST ROLL, keep our word, get to bed, wake and REPEAT!
It works, cause we are addicted to nictotine and can beat it ONE day at a time. At first it seems like one moment at a time...It does get Waaaaayyyyyyy Better, This I promise YOU!
Welcome aboard to the fight of your life. You will WIN!!! ONE day at a time! 'bang head'

yes Scottie1 welcome to the place that can help you remain quit as long as you use it in the right way.

Post roll daily and give your word not to use for the day. That is all we ask, just one day at a time, and they will add up if you do.

Get to know your neighbors and make them friends that you can call on, and that they can call on you. You all are/we have gone through the same things to use each other to lean on, As a group we cna beat this.

And of all the reasons for you to want to quit, make yourself the ultimate number 1. Do this for yourself, make it personal, make it selfish, as this was your doing in the first place to get all the support you can but blame no one but yourself and be strong for yourself.

I will quit with you today, and will make you that promise when I wake tomorrow, get in that Feb13 group and do the same.

Yes this is the right place for introductions. Congrats, you've made a decision to grow a pair and kick this habit. That makes you awesome.

Bear in mind that if you don't go into this with the idea that it's your last quit, your only quit, you're setting yourself up to fail from the beginning. There is no try here. You bring 100%, one day at a time. The days will rack up on their own from there.

If you haven't already, visit the salmon colored welcome center link and read about roll call and how to do it, then go post up a day 1 in Pre HOF February 2013 group. Welcome aboard. PMe if you have any questions.

Day 1 for me is over
« on: November 21, 2012, 09:58:00 PM »
Hello, all. My name is Scott and today is my 1st day nicotine free. I also discovered this site just today...what a sigh of relief there is support on a daily basis if I need it. I've attempted to quit many times before in my life. But I'm 35, have a family now, and am sick and tired of destroying myself. I could go on and on about the reasons I want to quit, but will not at this time. Just wanted to introduce and ask for help. Thanks.
