Today - Day 14 of my Quit! Interesting thing happened just a few minutes ago.
today - we got another F*ckin blizzard in good ol ND. At 3:45 pm I broke out my damn snowblower for the 9th time since the first part of December. Snowdrifts across my drive way was handle bar high on the machine and the son a bitch even stalled it twice trying to move the white shit. WTF! Took me 2 hours to get that shit off the driveway. That was with only 4 - 5 inches of snow this time but those 40 f*ckin mile an hour winds piled it in. Last year I broke it out 3 times total and that wasn't until March -- man that just pisses me off.

Anyway, this post ain't just to bitch about the snow - which we have at least 3, maybe 4, more months of - but rather it is about what I found in my coveralls while I was moving the white shit. Yep - a half can of fuckin Grizzley! Startled the hell out of me when I felt it "bump" when trying to force the machine forward. Thought I had got rid of any and all remenents of that habit.

Well, I took that mother effer out, opened it, looked at it with disgust, cussed the bitch and UST, closed the lid, threw it down in front of the machine and blew that nic bitch all to hell!!! 'nutkick' That was one of the most fun things I have done since 14 days ago! course next spring I'll probably have to go through the yard and pick up pieces of black plastic..................Oh hell no , I'll just continue to chew that bitch up with the lawnmower!

What a rush! I own the nic bitch - today!

Great decision ndrooster. I tossed my tassy 125 days ago after being addicted to nic for over 30 years. I've had good days and bad days but more good ones as time goes on. My wife also likes me a lot better since I quit. Best decision you will ever make. Enjoy the journey. Get active with this site and lean on your quit brothers. Enjoy the ride.

2nd time quit

Hello. guess this is where we are suppose to introduce ourselves. first my nickname is Rooster. I am almost 52 years young been chewing since I was 18.

Got started because I was a cowboy and that was the thing to do. Was up to 2 cans Cope a day, never spit, took it out only for eating and sleeping. Kept me awake on the road going from rodeo to rodeo.

Back in 86 had major surgery that kept me in the hospital for 16 days...that was my first quit..lasted 11 more days out in the free world, then bummed a cope chew from a friend and bought his spare can 4 hours later.

I always was going to quit every time they raised the price of snuff - I started when it was 24 cents a can -- sometimes found it for 19 cents. Pay a dollar? Hell no - well okay its only a buck. After Cope got to over $4 a tin, I was at a sportman show and they were giving away all sorts of free samples of various baccies. After eating them up (the fruit flavors were terrible but hey it was free), I finally settled on Grizzly -- hell less than $2.50 a tin - so I am saving money chewing! WEll that was several years ago and I found that over the past 2 to 3 years I was actually cutting down on consumption but not daily use...meaning it was in from the time I woke up till I went ot bed, typically a 19 to 20 hour day. I could stretch a can of Grizzly out for 8 to 11 days! My dentist said I could quit but I didn't want to give up my close companion and stabilizing buddy.

Over Christmas this year, I went through a can of Grizzley and a half can of Cope in 5 days. Oh-oh. Not good -- could see where this was heading so on Monday morning December 29th, I decided to quit the can. Found this site looking for the herbal stuff, so I joined. figured the more folks who know about me quittin will help me just that much more -- I hate to fail at anything and know a good butt kicking sometimes helps straighten out the thought process.

I did carry my tin of Griz for 3 days before I tossed it - figured it was going to be my choice and I actually never pulled the pacifier out of my pants pocket except to change pants. It was a definate bitch and I didn't accomplish anything in my shop/studio and here at the beginning of day 7 it is still hard to focus but getting better.

My wife says I am more pleasant to be around since quitting (BTW - also quit caffinated diet pop at the same time--ugg!) I think she has a heart of gold because I think I have been very bitchy and overly critical. Noww if I could just stop eating junk food!

This probably got to long winded. Sorry.
