You have made a great start. Now get on your group (Sept 2016) and learn to post roll. Post roll every damn day, get to know your fellow quitters, make some connections. Get your quit on.
What he said. And you better listen to him cause not only is he a Marine, he's a cop.... that's a combination you want ON YOUR SIDE....

hello all my name is Tyler im 27 years old and have been dipping almost every single day since i was 18 although i started dipping when i was 15 on lunch break in hs up until i turned 18 when i could then buy my own dip myself.

i just happen to kinda stumble into one of the blog posts on the main website called "What to Expect when you quit dipping" and felt like it seemed like a worth challenge for me to undertake. Seeing that dipping is a disgusting habit, makes me have a excess saliva so im always wanting to spit before or after i have a dip, and can lead to cancer. As well as sometimes if i swallow my pinch or hog i will throw up alot, but that is usually just in the mornings right after i wake up and my stomach is sensitive.

anyways that article was great and interesting. i feel compelled to give quitting dipping a shot or chance.

This would be my first official time trying to quit dipping and ive been dipping for about 9 years everyday.

its about 330pm atm and at 9pm tonight will be my first 72 hours without a dip. and i already feel better about myself.

last tuesday was when i read the article so June 14 2016 at 9pm.

Also i have dealt with major depression/anxiety/ and other mental health issues for the past 6 years and have been on medication throughout that period.

i feel like if i can kill the can then my mental health issues, may not completely go away but, might go into remission and i will be able to live a normal healthy life again.

dipping to me... i probably was majorly addicted to dip tobacco for a few reasons, the greater nicotine content than in cigarettes. (i have heard that for every one can of dip it equals about 3 to 4 packs of cigarettes)
also the oral fixation always wanting to spit.
and of course the buzz, especially when you can get away with dipping where there are no smoking signs posted everywhere. even on airplanes.

i come seeking support from fellow former dippers who have been through the trenches already and have insight on how to combat certain triggers that i come across in my endeavors.

i suppose that will be all for now for my introduction. hope to hear from you guys.

Thanks
Tyler
