XPKB is another married father of 3 (must be a theme today) with 2 girls and 1 boy.  XPKB first dipped the first year he became a teenager, 13. Ironically he was only one year older than his oldest is now. XPKB is quitting so he can be there for his children and grandchildren in the future. Good man! To celebrate this milestone his wife and his children will be taking him out to dinner tonight.. Maybe we should arrange a private car on the train for you and your wife when you get back? And a babysitter for the kids? Let us conductors know, we can make that happen..

The craziest thing XPKB has ever done is he tried to spy on a girl with some friends of mine in the parking lot of a bar, after way too much beer, from the top of an adjacent building's roof. The police thought we may be robbing the place.  XPKB and his friends ran from the police but the police ran faster.  He got to see the inside of a jail for that one.

XPKB is signing up for 200 days and his words of wisdom to all you other quitters and anyone who may be reading this are “ Many quitters before me say it still to this day....ODAAT - it works.” We agree XPKB. The quitter XPKB is most afraid of is Evil, he finds TxTornadoinOK to be the most inspiring quitter and credits Dave1903 for helping him early in his quit.

I’m not even going to attempt to alter XPKB’s answer as to his favorite avatar on KTC, as it made me lol. “At first I loved Bob the Builder - "it's fucked"...but I'm now partial to the nice boobs.”

XPKB is going to bring a shitload of high gravity IPA and some of my favorite German Hefeweizen beer to share with the rest of you bad ass quitters on the train. Thank goodness! Its been a long trip over and a long day of quit.. Lets all raise a glass of Hefe, And toast “Congrats XPKB on 100 days quit, the first of many to come.. and to nice boobs” *clink*
Congrats on 100 and enjoy being quit with your family!
Nice job. Keep flapping!

OK - I've been froggy as fuck since about day 3..Some days are better than others and I'm now quitting for 18 days in a row.  I've had some whacked out dip dreams where I dreamed I caved and woke up with heart pounding and pissed off at myself...only to calm my sweat-soaked self down with the realization that it was a nightmare.  Some days at work are spent staring at my computer screen wondering what the fuck it is I do at my desk....in this job......holy shit batman.

So - I've dipped for 33+ years and this is my first attempt at quitting.  I'm all in and will not cave....this is for me but I have a wife, 2 daughters and a son that are cheering me on daily.  I'm wondering if anyone has seen any info that suggests that the withdrawl symptoms / fog are correlate with the duration of nicotine abuse (#years).  It seems reasonable to me but I can not find anything but generic info about the withdrawl symptoms and stages of withdrawl.

Above link is a pretty good source of info...in addition to all of the info on KTC website...this site is my support group and I look forward to hearing more from fellow quitters.

Thanks!

Welcome KB,

I used smokeless tobacco/nicotine for 23 years, 8000+ days.  I can say at 130 days quit that the first 30 days or so I was very foggy, our brains and bodies are rewiring themselves after years of poisoning them.

Please check out the welcome center and get over to the Feb '14 pre HOF group and post roll.  That is the way we keep up the fight against nicotine every day, by making that promise and keeping our word.

Proud to quit with you today!

The nic bitch has those big tits wrapped around this one awfully tight. He is either afraid to let them go or afraid of the pitfalls on the road to freedom. Either way, Wt57 nailed it good...it is sad. I hope you kept my phone number XP as a momento of your brief stay. The next time you decide to waste our time with your veiled desire to quit, you will be able to come back here and refresh your memory as to why nic is more important to you than anything else...and has been for over 32 years now. No guts...no glory.

What is sad is that you didn't continue. Don't wait, it doesn't get easier.

Welcome: We need you here and you need to be here.

First things first. Before you can comment, you have to post roll. This is your group click  February

This roll is going to save you when you are weak. You promise to stay quit. That promise is a daily promise. So you must, must must post roll every "Today"

Roll takes a couple times to post right so just go to that group and put your name - day 3 and promise your new quit brothers that you will not partake of any form of nicotine for the rest of the day.

Wake up in the morning. Post first thing and make that daily promise. If you want to be quit for good, then post roll 100% and be a man of your word.

Up on the banner, there is a "Welcome Center" click on that and start reading. Make yourself at home. This is home for me when I need to recharge. Many addicts pay thousands of dollars to get educated and sober. This is free. KTC is a great gift to the serious quitter. Come here often, take your shoes off and stay quit!

Great place and great Vets that know how to support.

Nice work XPKB and welcome to KTC. Read all the info in the Welcome Center and post roll daily. Posting roll is our daily promise to ourselves and our quit group that we will not use nicotine that day. Simple. It is also the price of admission to KTC. No dues, no fees...just your promise you will not use nicotine that day. You will be in the February 2014 quit group. I sent you a PM with my telephone number in it. You will find it at the Inbox(1) at the top right hand side of this screen. Call me with any questions or concerns you have. Welcome again and congrats on taking back control of your life. Wayne
