Dave I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that you found this place and have chosen to quit with us. I look forward to the times I'm able to hop in chat at night and shoot the shit with you man, it keeps me sane at a time when I would have been stuffing my face full of cancer. Dave, I totally understand the weirdness of sharing your digits. I'm a female. Share my digits with an entire site full of "strange, old men"?!?! Trepidation, much lol. But I was so desperate to quit for good this time that I drank the koolaid and did it... sent my digits to my whole damn group, plus some of the vets. The only thing I've ever gotten in return is kind, caring support. There might be a spaz or two in every new group, but the good people far outweigh the loons. Congrats on getting this far, but there are two especially hard rough patches coming your way soon, so swap some more digits to get you through. You've got this! Quit on! ps. I'd like to hug most of those "strange, old men" now. Couldn't have done it without them :)

Dave, man you are one of the singlemost reasons im still here at ktc and im not sure if ive ever expressed that to you. Thank you for being in chat on my day 1 and day 2. I was a wreck and had all kinds of doubt in my mind as to whether this place was for me. You made me feel accepted and wanted in the conversations, and always greet me like a brother. I want you to know that I will always be just 4 days behind you in the quit. My
prayer is that never changes. You are a big reason I made it to 60 days at this point.
You have actually made me laugh out loud with your great sense of humor in chat.

It's taken me more than 60 days of quit to post an introduction but here goes. Honestly, it took me this long to figure out how to introduce myself. Like many of you, I found KTC accidentally. I was searching for a regional quit site I'd heard of and clicked on this place my mistake. In short order I was given help in regards to signing up and, several days later, I finally figured out how to post roll. It's not really important or interesting how and when I started dipping. The bottom line is I was just sick and tired of it. Beyond the health issues, beyond the shame of being a ninja dipper, even beyond my family....I was just sick of my ridculous dependence on nicotine. I'll spare you the embarrassing stories and personal lows that come with dipping, since all of you are aware of them. By my nature, I'm an introvert who, for specific reasons, values my privacy. I live in a rural area and work from home. That's why this site has been a work-in-progress for me. It's why I have been slow to give up my digits (but I'm working on it). I love chat! I can open up there like nowhere else in life! I'm trying very hard to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to posting in my group and standing out (outside of the chat room). I'm gaining more confidence in this place and I'm sure I'll be opening up more. I have been trying to help out more and more newbies. I feel that BrianG has been my closest partner in this journey. We quit four days apart and he's been kind enough to help me out with anything technology-related! He's also been a shining example of how someone can go through the stress, frustrations, and difficulties of quit and still have time to help others every single day. He has that go-getter's confidence and attitude I lack. Brian, thanks for you help! I'm one of the oldest people I've met on this site but I still feel as if I'm growing every single day! Thank you all for your friendship, your support, and your patience!
