Yes, I have a suggestion: Quit.
Sorry, that probably sounds kind of rude. I don't mean it that way, but when it comes down to it, that's the only thing that works. It will be quite rough for the first three days, then fairly rough for a while after that ... but if you quit and stay quit, you will never have to go through it again.
This site can help. Post in your group (November if you quit right now). By posting, you give your word that you won't use nicotine that day. Then don't. The next day, do the same. Simple? Yes, but difficult. That's where this site helps ... people who are at the same stage of quitting as you are, to commiserate with. People who are way beyond where you are to give friendly advice and a kick in the pants when you need it. A chat room and IM's for those times when the cravings try to overwhelm you. And lots and lots of information.
So ... I suggest you quit. Cold turkey is the only way to go ... any other method (nicotine patches, gum or lozenges) simply prolongs the agony. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice. Read and post a LOT.
We look forward to welcoming you to the world of the nicotine-free!
