Are you a masochist?? If so, you're on the right track to keep the pain level high. If not, quit doing this to yourself. You have to make this THE LAST QUIT. Shut the FUCK UP With this "Let's try the rest of today without caving" bullshit. If you use this language around here, you've already shoveled the shit in your face. You got this! You gotta grab the Nic-Bitch by the nuts and in doing so prove to yourself that you've got a pair... I expect a Day 1 post.

Thanks for all the words guys. Yeah, this royally does suck without a doubt. I have to be honest, I stopped this morning and bought a can, stuck a pinch in and spit it out after about 5 minutes. I know im only cheating myself and Im being a coward about this. Lets try the rest of the day without caving.

Miss your Teddy bear eh?

You feel super shitty because you've been poisoned by that shit and your body is screaming for it right now. If you didn't think you were addicted before the feeling your having right now should tell you how deep that shit had its claws in your ass.

Get tough, if you did one day you can do 2

"CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit. After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco."

Bumperfucker...It does get easier. The secret for me is to get mad and get proud. Get mad at your fucking weakness. Get mad at big tobacco for turning you into a tobacco whore. Reach down and grab some stones, buck up and get quit! Stay quit! There is no real secret to it. It took years to develope the habit it will take time to break it. Do not cave until you sign the form that says you are a weak fucking pussy and then post on the September board that you are requesting to cave. Then see what happens. We are all in this together. Get mad Get mad. Get mad. Then get mad some more. MOA

Ok so I'm new here and new to quitting. I'm on day 2 of being without my Grizzly bear and I knew this would be tough but didn't think this tough. I have eatin more sunflower seeds then I thought was humanly possible. I was real close to giving in today but instead I bought a can of Smokey Mountain. I dipped 2 cans a day for the last 10 years and my body is just lost without it. Tell me it gets easier and quality of life gets better.
It gets easier and life gets better. But you are gonna need to suck it up a bit first, because the next few days to a week are gonna kick your ass.

Now that the honest truth is out there, you know waht to expect from The Suck. So, what can we expect from you? Solid quit is the right answer. As a fireman and EMT I take it you don't give up on a patient/victim when things get tough, do you? Well, that same approach is what you need to apply here.

Yes, things are going to be tough, but you will get all the support you need from brothers and sisters here - and then some. For you to be successful in the quit, you need to be honset with yourself and us, know that once you post your word that you are quit for the day, we will hold you to it. Also, be active in the quit...read everything you can, post often and then read even more.

Welcome to the suck...stay a while.
Blah...Blah...Blah...You keep TALKIN....I'll keep QUITTIN

I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to support YOUR quit.

It does get better, but you are an addict. You will be engaged in a battle for your life......for the rest of your life.

The good news?

You will not always feel the way you feel right now.

The Catch?

You must make this the last time you quit. The 'giving in' you mentioned you almost did...We call that caving. Caving is not an option around here. We've flushed our shit, are tired of quiting alone only to make it 1-2 days, and have asked to be held accountable by our quit brothers.

Posting roll is our strength. It is a daily promise we make to our quit group that we will not put nicotine in our body that day. You got it? One day at a time.

Great decision! Read the Welcome Center....All of it. September will be your quit group. I suggest you introduce yourself in there.
