This is all great news, but 6 hours have passed and I don't see a roll post. What gives? Are you quit or not?

You have made a decision to quit. So do it. Do not hesitate.

Give your word each day, honor that word. realize what it is worth again

Learn what nicotine has done to your life, and remember always why you want to get it out of your life.

Be a friend here within the community, and be a part of something larger that will help you fight against a poison

you will do this.

start now

Why wait? Start now. Days almost halfway done if you're east coast. Will give you a jump start. Don't be the guy that says tomorrow because it will never come. Jump in now. You are ready and you want it.

Be a man,get it done. Definitely doable. Gotta want it. Not easy but so what, damn sure worth it. I would suggest you grab a can of fake, seeds, gum etc. Better to have something than stuff the shit back in your mouth. Get posted on roll and you will never do this alone. I quit with you today!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Good decision. Bear in mind weekends pose extra challenges to your quit in terms of triggers.

A couple suggestions:

1. go to your quit group, say hello, and post roll. (if your quit starts today you are in December 15, is you started August 5 you are in the November group. you may need to update your profile quit date) The day you flush your tobacco down the toilet is day 1.

2. get active. get some phone numbers from your quit group to text to each other as temptations arise. Spend time on KTC reading when the craves arrive. Get mad on the forums and chat rooms here rather than at home.

Quit on. The "flu" won't kill you, and it will get better.

6 Hours till afterwork Quit Time
« on: September 04, 2015, 09:27:00 AM »
I have long weekend with Monday off work for the holiday so I figured this would be a good time stop and get the poison out of my system. I have to be honest and say that I am terrified, but it is time to man up and quit this crap. I am 44 YO and have dipped since I was a freshman in college. I go to the dentist regularly and have never had any adverse reports but I know that could change at any time. I am sick and tired of being strapped by this crutch and it's time for it to go. With that said my quit will start today as soon as I get off work. I'm going to buy a bunch of the sugar free candy ( to help with the "no-go" problem) and just prepare to workout, drink water, and sweat this out. My hope is that by Tuesday I feel well enough to go to work and any flu symptoms would be over...... I hope... Thank goodness for this site and I would appreciate any feedback anyone has to offer. Thanks.
