Hello all,
I smoked for 24 years starting at the age of 11 sneaking parents smokes. By the the time I was 13 I pretty well smoked full time all it took was a ten min walk in the woods and I could smoke when ever I wanted. By that time I had started dipping on a regular basis as well. So basically I am 37 now and had been smoking for 24 years until I quit two years ago.
I was a minimum of a two packer a day smoker. If I was drinking I would hit the 3-4 packs a day mark. I finally after not being able to break to work, play with my son or pretty well any other activity I decided it was that time. It took me a total of about six years of quitting over and over before I finally put them down for good.
Having done so I felt accomplished and within a few months over doing so I decided to do the same with the can as well. That was two years ago and honestly only tried once or twice since then that only lasted up to three days. So now currently as of December 4, 2018 I have been quit for a total of six days.
A total of 26 years of my life being dependent and enslaved by the products used I am proud to say that I am exactly 2 years 10 months clean of cigarettes and 6 days completely tobacco free. It's rough but I am making it. I have the same child I could not play with because of smoking that is now nine and is my biggest inspiration in hopes to stop or deter him from picking up the same habits.
