Welcome to the quit club Ty! You can do this, we are all doing it together. Stay focused on your quit when you are around your fellow fire-fighters. Be prepared and stocked up on some seeds, candy, gum, etc. Talk up the website to the ones that I am sure have said to you "man I gotta quit this shit". Find the cancer pics, and know that you have made the wise decision at age 20. Stay strong!
I was making a subway run for myself and the two other officers on right now, got back with our truck, left my gum in there, and the other officer went to the truck and you hear "HOLY SHIT you got enough gum" come across the nextell. Bought 3 packs of the 35 piece packs of orbit.

Theres gonna be some little business card size "fliers" hanging around the station before our next business meeting. Anyone would know it was me or the chief, so they come to me, I'll send em this way.
Your quit's like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get.

Got em. I appriciate it. My new routine for the day is to sign roll, and call my chief.

Thanks

Ty
Welcome WV - you've made one hell of a choice. Good group of quitters you're joining! Read, read and then read some more - this site has enough motivation for every nic user on the planet to quit with. Saw you posted role, well done. Now wake up tomorrow and do it again - thats it. Those few little words you post each morning will make the difference between a cave and a crave put in its place if you're a man of your word, and we're all expecting that you are.

Hi there
« on: February 13, 2011, 06:39:00 PM »
Im not really sure how to start this, so here it goes.

My name is Tyler, and I have been dipping since I was 13. I am 20 now. I just want to be done with it. All the risks, for what? A 30 min nic buzz?

My mom, fiance, and grandpa have wanted me to quit since day one. 7 years later, I want to quit.

I am a security officer at my college, a ham radio operator (my username is my callsign) and a volunteer firefighter on my local department. The hardest part of quitting is going to be when I am at the station. Our department is the largest in the county and out of the 38 people, 10 people dip, 6 smoke, and the rest are clean. My chief quit this past summer, and he is my biggest "in person" support.
