Nice job bro, keep racking up the milestones. Pretty awesome. Most people can't develop a good habit for a full year. You are proof that you can! Quit on!

Weekend quits suck! Read that a few times on the board  man did I experience it this weekend. So many triggers. Football games, check. Basketball games, check. Going to the movies, check.

All that being said, powered through. I'm still trying to come to grips with the anxiety. I'll be fine  then it just hits like a ton of bricks. Lasts 10 mins or so,  then I'm good again. Anybody else having that?

Anyway, enough whining for tonight. 8-days clean  working on 9! Maybe tonight will bring sleep too!
It's a great day not to chew...

Great choice to quit. The bad assed quitters who have already posted here have covered everything so my advice is re-read your intro thread and do everything they have suggested. I'll be quit with you all day.

Hey Wintergreen welcome aboard. The big thing you'll find here, if you haven't already, is that all of our stories are really similar...When we started, why we started, attempts to quit etc. But because of that believe me when I tell you, quitting is something you can do! It's going to suck (for me the worst days were 1-10, 30-40, and 70-85) but it will get easier and each touch phase you enter is a phase. So be strong. I have used Jakes Mint pouches. Funny because when I chewed I hated pouches. But anything to keep you mouth occupied is good, for me gum is probably the best. Good luck!

i agree smoky mountain is too sweet and sticky, and the corn silk ends up everywhere. but it is a lot easier to find than anything else (at least where i live). i just got my variety of jakes mint and so far i like it (cinnamon is good). i didn't really like hooch. I seem to like the variety, changing it up. I am way into lifesavers and beef jerky also. day 6 for me today.

smokey mountain. jakes chew and hooch are the ones I have tried and liked. imo none taste like the real thing and thats good. i only use it occasionally. I think they should make it taste like shit on purpose so you dont continue with the habit. I used lifesavers this time and ate a ton of them. The kill the can website has a list of a lot of substitutes.
Thanks, I'll give the Hooch stuff a try. I don't mind the Smoky Mountain, I like the tingle you get from the cayenne, but it's a little too sweet for my taste.

Fellow dumbass here. Glad your found us. I paused once too. This is day 1098 for me. The site works if you work the site. Quit one day at a time and get involved. Send me a PM if you need personal assistance on your quit.

Thanks for the welcome and advice. Read your HOF speech. Holy Shit did a lot of that sound familiar. At the end of my pause, I was on the sly or "Ninja Dipping" as I've seen others state it all the time. My wife would nearly bust me and I'd flat out lie and deny it. Every time. Sick stuff.

Welcome to KTC, many of us started like you, "for some dumbass reason". There are a bunch of fake dips available, there are even some companies that offer discounts to members of KTC Smokeless Alternatives

The underlined above is a link. Cinnamon candies also work well. Drinks lots of water and find an outlet for any anger/rage (exercise, hitting a heavy bag, etc.).

Read the stories on here, read through other intros and meet some people on here. Besides using the chat room I recommend exchanging phone numbers with fellow quitters and using text or calls to help you as needed.
