Welcome aboard brother! You've made the best decision of your life to quit. You are going to need the support of your quit brothers to succeed. You need to post roll with May EVERY DAY and promise not to use nic for the day. That promise is something we take very seriously here. We're acccountable to each other; that's what makes this program work. I see you haven't posted yet, so lets get your name on the board. Go to 'Quit Groups' and select 'May'. You can beat this addiction!!

WD's HOW TO POST ROLL CALL
FOR Newbies!!!

Step 1 - Find the last Roll Call
Step 2 - Hit the "Quote" button in the upper right hand corner.
Step 3 - Click your mouse ANYWHERE in The bottom Box
Step 4 - Hit Ctrl and "A" at the Same time so it looks like THIS
Step 5 - Hit Ctrl and "X" at the same time so there is NOTHING in Either Box
Step 6 - Click your mouse in the TOP BOX
Step 7 - Hit Ctrl and "V" at the same time to Past the info into the top box AND ADD YOUR info to the bottom of the list
Step 8 - Hit ADD REPLY below the bottom box
Step 9 - Go back to the 1st unread post, pat yourself on the back, and have a beer cause you will not be dipping today.

You are definitely at the right place. Use this site, the accountability and the support. Take what you need, leave the rest. Post roll every day, be accountable! You can do this. It is day 69 for me. Trust me, it gets waaaaaaaaaaay better than where you are now. Life is great, craves are less and less. And the vets tell us that it gets better than where I am. Embrace this life of freedom, this life without the fear of looking like a freak or dying at 30 from cancer. Just know you are an addict and will be. Don't quit for forever, just today. Hell, just this hour if you have to. Very simple: Give your word to stay quit, keep your word, repeat. Simple, just not easy. You CAN do this! Man up and be a hero!

Good job sitting down and posting on this site rather than running to the store. I've been quit for 28 days and the thought of never having another dip scares the shit out of me. So I don't quit for forever. I just get on here every morning and post roll and quit for today and then worry about tomorrow when it gets here.

Hey Mason congrats on making one of the best decisions ever in quiting dip. Now keep making it. Just quit the rest of today, then post role tomorrow and quit tomorrow. It sucks...it can be pure misery at times, but then there are some aspects that may not be as bad as you think. Fight for this man, fight for a life free of a killer addiction and reach out when you need some help or encouragement.

Dude Mason, your habits are just like mine - at least the part from college into work and the stress relieving aspects a fatty supposedly offers. Well I'm a newbie too and I quit with you. Seriously man just think of the ODT or Kern stories next you crave - that shit is absolutely not fun; minute by minute even if that's what it takes, walk in their shoes - they sacrificed for our knowledge and awareness....

I'm now on day 102 of my quit, having dipped for 25 years. If I can do it, so can you.

Good afternoon KTC members. My name is Mason and I've been dipping  chewing for 5 years. I am a recent graduate from college and started chewing with my roommates. When I started my career, the stress was so much that I fell into the comfort and mind-numbing activity that was packing a lip. I'd do it on my long commute, at my desk, on lunch, on break, the commute home, before bed, or even in the middle of the night. In college this was ok because it was maybe 1 or 2 tins a month. A year or so into my job and it's turned into almost 2 tins a day. I see red spots or startings of leuk in my mouth, get scared for 5 minutes, and almost like clockwork dip again. I told myself I was going to quit Jan 1, then it turned into when I was done that tin, then I kept putting it off because I am terribly afraid of the thought of going the rest of my life without one. In writing this post I've stood up from my chair, put my coat on, and walked to the door to drive to pick up a tin... but I was able to fight the urge and come back but it's only been three days! I'm chewing gum to give my mouth a mindless activity, I'm packing lips of Smokey Mountain herbal wintergreen to try and trick myself out of cravings, and I'm getting away from anyone that dips around me.

That's my story in a nutshell. I hope to grow as a part of this community and lean on others while they're able to lean on me towards to ultimate goal of success and liberation from tobacco.
