day 33. - Some days i feel great and others i want to kill someone. Lots of fights with my wife all for the wrong reason thank god she puts up with me. Work is difficult without my chew  but it is getting better. I want to thank you all for the support i dont post much but i do spend time on the site everyday reading. Wt thank you if not for you i would still be a nic dick
You need anything at all, get a hold of me. I was told there is no excuse for fighting and arguing with the ones you love because of your withdrawal from your own stupid ass addiction. They did not make you into an addict, YOU did and THEY deserve the ultimate love and respect you can offer. You get pissy and want to pick a fight, look me up and we'll hash it out and get you through that moment, any way I can help you and any of our quit brethren beat back the bitch I will.

Proud to be quit with you, QLAFM
I agree with Eric. Use your brothers and sisters here to help with that fighting spirit instead of the family, thats what we are here for.

If you can't reach Eric get a hold of me instead (just watch where you are grabbing.... 'crackup' )

im on day 16 and i still get irritated and chippy, definately some weird feelings in my body, but i expect it i guess, i dipped 1.5 cans a day and even slept with it,so it had a grip on me man. ive been wooped for so long with this stuff it makes me angry that i gave my time, money and life up. no doubt it will get better, but i think the suck of it all helps me realize where i was and where i dont want to go back to.

day 11 i am now feeling a lot better mentally. i started working out with a friend and that helps alot. Yesterday i wake up and feel great and im thinking to my self i got this its over and later that night for no reason i feel pissed off at the world and want that chew. 11 days down hope it gets better
It does get better... take it one day at a time! Don't think about tomorrow, just think about today! You will have ups and downs but deal with them one day at a time! I know I keep saying the same thing over and over again, but it's true, deal with today and don't worry about tomorrow! It does get better, we've all been there! And don't listen to the Nic Bitch... She will tell you anything you want to hear, but SHE IS LYING! Stay true to your quit and don't listen to the Nic Bitch! It's OK to feel pissed off! Vent on the forum, go on live chat and let them know how you feel... It helps trust me! Hang in there!

day 3 was a test i feel like shit , in afog and my wife informs me that we have abbq to go to. I did not drink any alcohol cause if i had i would have been hittin a 7-11 for a can. The day went ok except for the one ass at the party that gets offended that someone is not drinking. Wanted to rip his head off instead i kept my distance. 3 days down a new personal record

Good on you man. The ability to control yourself away from drinking just fresh into the quickening took some serious resolve. Think about it, not only is this the longest you've been quit, you reached down deep and fought off another temptation in the process. Take a good look in the mirror, that's your new reputation.

I quit with you today and I'll see you at roll in the AM.

day 2 almost over. Itried to stay busy today but the only thing on my mind was my chew. Cut the lawn think of chew - pull weeds think of chew - clean the pool think of chew  all day long. I new that i had posted roll and i am no liar so i made it one more day thanks for all the advise and support
Sam,

Its a mater of doing those things several times without chew. Even at day 2, you are still going throug withdrawls, so no matter what you do its going to be on your brain. Once you clear day 4, the nicotine is out of your system and the mind games begin. Your brain is going to say "hey, the lawn mower started, time to grab a wad" or "2 hour drive, have your can and bottle?" You have done it that way for so long, your body need to both heal and reprogram. Nicotine is a chemical that messes with your head. It takes a while to get the circuits back in place. That's where we come in. Post roll, text your bros to get through the day, sleep, repeat.

It will get better, I promise. Just keep posting roll and I will keep supporting you.
Sam,

Just like wedgie says.... we have trained our minds to think that we have to have nic during those types of activities. Now we just call those triggers, but it is important to know when you typically use nic so that you are aware going into it. Also like wedgie says is that after a couple of times of completing certain activities your brain realizes that you do not have to have nicotine to complete it. This is a rewiring process.... Right now just do what ever you can to get past the fog and the physical part of the quit. We will work on the mental things later. Glad you can keep your word Sam... make me another promise tomorrow morning and I will quit again with you then.
