Guitar player- I am not addicted to nicotine. Never have been. I do however live with a nicotine addict that is on day 51 QUIT! This site works for him and is tried and proven to work for thousands Of others. It will work for you if you accept the help. If it isnt your thing, then hopefully you can find what does elsewhere. But what I really want to express is that you can use the concepts from this site in so many other aspects of your life. When I met pokerleader, he had come out of a yucky divorce and was well on his way to becoming an alcoholic. He had no self esteem, had been chewing for 30 years, hadn't been to the dentist in over 20 years, and was overweight and couldn't care less about the path he was on. Today...he is 51 days quit, is 2 days away from having $3500 worth of dental work completed, has lost almost 20 pounds and is now training to run a 5k. KTC has given him a purpose and a freedom that is like no other Like I said, I am not addicted to nicotine but I am addicted to food. This site has also helped me in that I decide to eat healthy for today. So given the opportunity, KTC can change your life if you are ready! You decide!
Yes, the tools of commitment and self evaluation are quite valuable in many aspects of life. You are the product of the decisions you make. God gave you free will. Choose wisely.

So Guitarplayer, you're still around. I see you wised up. Good move.

I'll quit with you.

Now how about an apology for calling everybody 'weak' and 'scumbags.' I think you realize that we're here to help each other. I think explaining what made you feel the need to come on here and attack your quit brothers would be worthwhile knowledge for the group. Help us learn from your moment of weakness.

I think we'd all really appreciate that, and I'm being sincere.

Welcome back.

I also find it interesting that you guys know I am quitting and you still attack me.  Seems like you guys are fail mentors also.  You should be embracing my rage.  Letting me vent.  That is what I was doing.

Pretty weak if you have to post something on the internet. You should be able to do it without this website. Anyways why are you guys getting so bent out of shape. A roll call isn't going to make me quit or not quit.
I have decided to do this on my own
Nothing that is said here is any different than anybody else would get. If you can't handle it then that's your problem. We are here to quit, no to kowtow to you.

What you have posted is not venting, it's tearing this site apart. You either want to quit or you don't. If not, fine I can't make you. But if that's the case get the fuck out of here and stop standing in peoples way that need help.

--Sorry JD. Don't know why that has you quoted around it.

Why the fuck would we embrace your rage when you are shitting all over this site and everything that it stands for?

I'm done with your ass after this. I have extended my hand as someone who has been right where you are. I know exactly how you are feeling, but you are Billy Bad Ass that thinks he can do this all on his own. Maybe you can. I'm sure you can actually. But why would you?

There is a great support system in here. It take 5 minutes of your day max. You are too busy to post roll because you "have a life"? Yea man, we all do. School, jobs, kids, etc..... yea we all have that shit too
Grit your fucking teeth and man up like the fucking stud you are. I'm right there with you, and I promise not to dip today

I do not know that you are quit. I do not see your name on roll call, so you have not told us that you are quit today.

You want a mentor. You want to rage and vent. You are right, this is the place to come to.

There is only one thing we ask for, your word that you will not use nicotine today. If you do not want to give that to us and shit all over the foundation of this site, then I cannot take you serious and you can go fuck off.

Go post roll call and you can then call me a fucking cocksucker or whatever you want to.

However until I see your name on roll call, I am done wasting my time with you.
That having been said... There are still people here that will be glad to quit with you if you want to post roll.

I've never relied on anyone in life to keep me in check, that's how I wound up drinking too much, dipping in the dark and probably coming closer to losing my job and my girl than I ever thought.

It's easier for me after only 11 days to take the two minutes and post. I always had time to run to 711 in the a.m.thought if I was gonna be a can short after work..

Go praise your quit board.  I actually have a life and i have more important shit to worry about than just to post "i promise to not dip today"...
Newbies

This is an example of someone not ready too quit.

Not having time to post roll call is the biggest bullshit excuse.

It takes less than two minutes a day. Posting my daily promise has helped save my quit on different occasions. It has helped save thousands of other quitters as well. But this guy has quit 5 days and has it all figured out.

I would rather give up two minutes a day then 5-10 or more years of my life.

He just sounds like a thousand other drug addicts. Oh wait, his birthday is 17 August 2006, that explains it. He's only 5 years old...he's pissed because he just found out we don't give out participation ribbons.
