You have some supportive bros in your March class to lean on too! Let me know if I can help you at all, and in the meantime I will be quitting along with you. You can do this now, you found the help you needed !

Wayne pretty much said it all. We are all here to support each other and hold each other accountable. The system only works if we actually want our quit. Each day that one of us stays quit, each day we go without putting that shit in our bodies, is another day that other members know that can too. Everyday you will have the decision whether to give in, or give that up and make a promise to yourself, and all of us, that you will not use nicotine in any of its forms that day. As Wayne said, it is a one day at a time attitude here, focus on tomorrow when it comes. Check your inbox for my number. You said today is your last day? How about right now, at this very second, if you've got that shit in your lip, spit it out. A can in your pocket? Throw it in the dirt. The quit starts now, that's the only way your "quit date" will stick. Trust me, we've all been to the point where tomorrow is the nic free day, and then the next and so on. Get rid of it. I quit with you brother.

Welcome to KTC Tim. First and foremost, you will need to post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the March 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in March is that will be the month that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.
Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center (Salmon colored tab) and that will get you started. Post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. The telephone numbers you will get are your life line. You will use that life line to save yourself when it looks or feels like you are drowning and need a dip. In other words, they are your first step into the Brotherhood.

We are here to help and support you all the way, but the hard part is going to be up to you. Are you ready for the task ahead? Get your seeds, hard candy, atomic fireballs and fake dip ready, and get set to dig your heels in and quit. Grit your teeth when things look shitty and power through the bad feelings. Remember two things: 1) One Day At A Time; 2) No one has ever died from quitting!! Congrats on the best decision you will make. Wayne

Day 1 starts tomorrow
« on: December 10, 2013, 12:51:00 AM »
I've been dipping on and off for the past 10 years. I've been able to quit for months at a time but haven't been able to quit it for good. It seems the key is to take it day by day and to make quitting my top priority for the day. I've been really stressed out at work and I keep lying to myself about quitting. I tell myself that dipping helps relax me and it gives me something to look forward at the end of a long day. But it does just the opposite! It prevents me from exercising, spending time with those I love and doing things to improve my life. I just feel so stuck and stupid.

I dip a can a day and today is my last day. I keep setting quit dates and I want to make this one stick. I know if I can get through the first few days, it will get easier. It is so hard making that initial commitment. Well, here I am and I am going for it. Nothing is going to stop me. I will start posting in the March 2014 group. Are you all with me?
