My name is Elliot. I am 21 years old and I have been chewing for about 4 years. Personally, I'm sick of it and have tried to quit 2 or 3 other times although lasting only a day or two. Tonight I will have my last dip ever and the rest is history. From now on , August 1st 2011 till the day I die I will never have a dip again no matter what my demons of doubt tell me. I wish to hear your guys support in order to help my quit! Thank you all and god bless
You've been out of control for 4 years and you're talking about the future because you're determined to take your life back. It's a pep-talk. I get it.

But as these other excellent quitters have already said, "forever and the rest of history" is too big for anyone to bear. You've placed a burden on yourself that you need to get rid of, or you'll feel the weight of it when you start to struggle.

If you only quit now, for as long as you do it now, that's final.

I see contradictory info here: screen name is "illquitnow" yet you were actually saying "I'll quit tomorrow.". This will not work. It is officially tomorrow for you and there's no day 1 post yet. I was hoping you'd be in here bright and early this morning. Come on and quit, man.... the kool aid is good.

This "til the day I die" and "last dip ever" talk is dangerous. Although it may be true, it causes undue stress to some quitters. We are quit today. Don't worry about tomorrow just yet.
yeah, get your ass in here and start quitting. Millions of guys say I'll quit tomorrow, well tomorrow never comes. You have to start now.

This is the backbone and conviction that gives me a fucking hardon...someone hide the cat.

Elliot you can do this...wait...let me take that back. You have done this. You are quit friend. You follow the program and we'll make it stick brother. Like Denny said read through the link. Post roll and let's take this one day at a time.

Reach out before shit hits the fan. Oh and before I forget...QUIT NOW. Read what Denny is saying there. If you have the balls behind that statement then you have quit in you this second. Dump your shit and put your foot down NOW. No "good bye forever my love" dip. It takes one exposure to start the chain reaction of oral cancer. And the travesty to think a 21 year old guy with a good head on his shoulders realizing he needs to change his ways gets cancer from his last dip. That...just wouldn't set well with me. So dump it. Post roll. Get up tomorrow and repeat it. Got it?

Good job Elliot,

I've just about finished day one. I've fought with myself all day. But if I can go all day you can too. This site is amazing, I keep logging on and off all day to get some moto. Lets be miserable together . Keep at it and Good luck.

Welcome to our little messed up club! I think you're in fine company if you're sick of being a complete slave to a can of poison. First things first, read the entire Welcome Center (gay pink colored link up top). Then go post roll and get to know your new brothers in November. We don't ask anyone to quit forever, we quit ONE day at a time here. Just promise that you won't use today, that you can make it to bedtime, keep your word then repeat tomorrow. Stay close to this site the next couple days will be a wild ride. Read HOF speeches, come into chat tonight. YOU can do this.

I can't tell if you've spit out your last chew and flushed the rest or if you're quitting tomorrow...if you haven't, spit and flush now. Trust me, "tomorrow" never comes and if you can't do it now what makes you think you can tomorrow? Just sayin'.
