hey beenthere, Life is better and will keep getting richer without the poison in our mouths!
Isn't weird to be able to taste foods now? Isn't it weird that you don't "smell" now? Isn't it.... I can go on and on.....FREEDOM from the nic bitch and the slavery of it all is sooooooo cool!
Remember we are all doing this the same way.
Wake up post roll (the earlier the better for your quit)
Make it through the day with your promise to yourself (anyway you can:seeds, etc)
Get to bed knowing you are QUIT.
Wake up and REPEAT.

Don't worry about the past, it is gone.
Don't worry about tomorrow, it isn't real yet.
Focus on the present, it is a gift!

I Quit with YOU ToDAY! 'zombie' 'bang head'
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?

12 of the toughest weeks of my life! But thanks to all the experiences on this site doing well (read them daily). After 28 years of shoving shit in my lip, I'm starting to see, feel and taste life without the bitch!

I quit with all of you!
Outstanding shit my friend.

Nice job. It gets much, much better. You'll continue to see positive changes in your body. I'm baffled how much damage nicotine causes and it is still legal to buy it.

Been tough going through this alone, wish I'd seen this site earlier.  Gave up a 3 can a week habit for last 28 years.  I got tired of hiding the habit and praying my lip and jaw are still there when my daughters get married.  Was just thinking how strange I still feel but realize more than half my life was under the influence of this crap!

Stopped cold turkey on July 25, 2012 because I felt it was time and needed to happen.  Hope I'm not ramblin too much, it's just hard to find someone who understands how hard this is to stay away from and its been a tough journey, but so far so good.  Wish I had some sage advice for someone quitting, but all I got is stick with it, not fun but the reward will be there.  You gotta take it one day/hour/minute/second at a time.
I hope you joined a group and understand that your quit will become much easier now that you are here. I'm at 15 days quit and on this site for a little less time. Glad I found it when I did. Good luck to you and your quit and please know that we are all here to help you. We can do this together.
Now that you've registered as a member, you need to get to Oct12 PreHof group and post roll. If you are unsure of how to post roll, what posting roll means, or anything else, please acquaint yourself with the Welcome Center thread.

More than enough material to satiate your brain for the foreseeable future. As a charter member of the Madmen, I would like to extend an invitation to join us in kicking the shit out of an addiction that only seeks to bring us and those we love a life of broken promises, misery, ill health, and ultimately death.

Welcome aboard and, just a word of caution, don't make us come looking for you. You've registered, you may as well be active and participating with us. Don't fucking slack off in your quit.
