good point , this is definitely not a habit but an addiction. I think the hardest part so far for me is avoiding the triggers, because there are so many damn triggers for me, when im driving (I drive a garbage truck for a living), after i eat, going to a movie...and on and on.

But so far so good, been a bit irritable but overall not too bad, just happy to know I'm done with that shit for good.

Take it easy guys,

Jay
Congrats on the quit so far Jay, it seems like you are listening to advice so here's my .2: This site will work if you "drink the kool-aid". Too many people blow their quits because they never gained any accountability. Exchange numbers with as many quitters as you can and use those numbers. Post roll every damn day and jump on chat to talk in real time. I was in your shoes 51 days ago, I never thought I 'd make this far, but like so many others on this site I am proof it works.

Send me a PM if you need a number or anything else, congrats again,

MCO
Welcome to the best of your life..found here with the brotherhood...gather your tools to fight the nic bitch daily. ODAAT is how we roll.
Post roll (when your feet hit the floor)
keep your word (your word is good, right?)
wake and repeat.

read up, chat loud, gather digits (we're all addicts), take what you need, give what you can...the best of your life is here. It gets much better, I promise.

Cheers.
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.

Hey guys,

I'm 40 years old and have been chewing since i was 14, 2 cans per day for the last 10 years or so, worst thing I ever started.
I actually started the quit on April 28th, but this is the first time I have been able to post on here.
After reading all of the posts from successful people, it gives me a lot of hope that I can actually do this and be done with this stupid habit for good.

See you guys around,

Jay
J, please understand that what you have is a nicotine addiction, not a bad habit. Let's call a spade a spade and get to quitting.

Welcome! As Razd stated, it's not about hope, it's about doing. If you want to be quit, do it! Post roll everyday and we are here to help.

Welcome JayT,

Awesome job having gone 6 days without support. I assume you are quit cold turkey? This is a Nic free site so that is a requirement. If you are, then post roll, get on the train and if you follow the KTC way you will quit. We quit together for a reason, it just plain works.

Quit with you today!
