Dillon -

Candoit is right. Make quitting THE priority in your life right now. It is a tough business, quitting this addiction. Making that promise first thing in the morning is so important if you are a man of integrity (and I suspect you are!). Pledge to your brothers and sisters in October 17 every single day, as soon as you get up. Get to know them - share digits. Lean on them, let them lean on you.

So glad you are kicking this addiction early in life. Make this quit stick - because, trust me, it gets much harder the longer you are on it.

You are still an addict. You and I will always be addicts. I posted roll today, so I am good for the rest of the day, what about you?
Did a busy life ever stop you from dipping?
Making sure that you had your wallet, cell, keys and can? Shit I am almost out! Stops at c store and will be late for work.
Scraping together empty cans to get a full pinch?
Wetting an old dried out can?
Running around crazy looking for a buddy that has a can?

My guess is you placed priority on those activities so you found the time.

I always find time for roll.
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

Hello fellow quitters!
My name is Dillon Chaney(dchaney147) and I am a Copenhagen Addict...well I was before I found you guys! A little bit about me, I just turned 23 years old and I have been dipping for 9 years, yes since I was 14. I live in NC right around the NC/VA line and I work full time for a fire department in VA. I also work part time for a department in NC and volunteer for another department in NC. I have volunteered for the past 7 years and worked full time for 2 years now. The full time department requires 10 or 11, 24 hour shift and the part time is whatever days I sign up for 8-5. I also make pistol holsters out of kydex as a hobby/business for myself and I mow yards for a local company. Needless to say I'm busy. I'm currently in the pre-hof October class and I'm on day 10. It has been a huge roller coaster ride these past 10 days but with the help of candy and chewing gum I have made it. My schedule is tight and not often do I have time to get on the internet so I'll post roll when I can, but trust me guys and gals, it's gonna take something huge to even get me to think about starting all over again. If you want my phone number, shoot me a message and I'll give it to you. If I can be of any help, let me know, and if you need a slap in the face, let me know about that too...because 10 days in, I need to release some steam!!!

On a serious note, I feel better, I have more energy, I don't have spit bottle laying around, and I don't have to worry about if I got a can of dip before I go to bed so I don't have to stop on my way to work. It's so nice not going to the gas station as often anymore, cleaning out the car of spit bottle and tobacco crumbs. I'm glad I found the site and I'm looking forward to day 100, then day 365, then day 500, day 1000 and yeah y'all got the point!!
Good job Dillon im coming up on my hof and its definitely been up and down for me. Sounds like you've been doing good but if you have bad craves that are hard to control there is alway fake chew. Sounds like you hated spitting and having spitters and chew can around so maybe its not for you but has helped me cause i didnt really quit cause of that. Have you been posting every morning cause when you quit and number of posts dont add up make sure your posting super important.
