Thanks guys! I'm psyched to be sharing the next leg of this trip with this group of people.

I will post roll in Jan '12, but bigsky I will definitely come hang out with you guys in the Feb '12 sandbox. My wife is totally sick of my quit story, so I got a lot to share. :)

Geek question: I hit 50 days at 11:30 tonight. If I post roll this very minute, should I claim 50 days, or at the 49 days, 17 hours I'm at??

Stanton
The day you quit is 1. How many days it has been since that day, is the number you are on. I am proud to be quit with you.

After further review, whether you quit at noon or 11:59 p.m., that was your quit day. That was your Day 1.

Therefore, today is your Day 50.

Congratulations. One day at a time is how we get to the HOF, and then from there we quit one day at a time for the rest of our lives.

Great to quit with you, and congratulations on making the best decision of your life. We welcome you!

we count day 1 as the day you stopped using...even if that decision was made at 11:30pm. So you could post a day 50, or a 49...it is your option.

Welcome Stanton! Your next step is to visit the Welcome Center and learn how to post roll...you will be in the January 2012 group found Here. You will post roll there.
Damn! January gets this fine quitter? They got Dippshit too...those bastards. I was really hoping to invite Stanton to Feb. Group. I, too am just hours away from 50 days quit and very excited about hitting the half-way-to-the-HOF's landing. Looks like Bearnomore and I will take that step onto the 50 landing just the two of us.

Stanton, if you have come this far on your own, you have already demonstrated that you are a badass quitter. Now if you dive in to KTC head first and drink down that sweet, delicious Kool-Aid, you will find all the support and encouragement you need to stay quit to the HOF and way beyond.

Welcome, brother. And please stop by and say 'hi' to the Feb. group, even if you aren't going to join our ranks. I'd love for you to introduce yourself and let us bask in your bad-ass quit.

Congratulations!

'clap'

Hi all. I'm Stanton, 39, and have smoked or chewed for the last 20 years, 17 seriously.

Lately the pattern was 3/4 can per day, with a cig (or 3) at night with my wife. I quit on Sunday night, Oct 23rd, after a tough day and the decision that I needed a big positive in my life. The 5 yr-old beginning to ask probing questions added motivation...

I found Whyquit on the first day of my quit, and it helped me discover some addiction truths, which has made this quit different from the others (several in the last few years). I owe that site a lot. But it never felt like 'my'group, for whatever reason.

So this morning, after struggling a bit this weekend when my best friend from college (who smokes) came through, I decided to look for an ex-dipping group. I found KTC. After reading "Top 100 benefits..." which was so funny and true, (to include the shameful/gross aspects of dipping), I knew I'd found my place.

So I joined. And now posted. And can't wait for my HOF coin.

So thank you, to those who started KTC, and to all the others who make it the supportive community I'm so delighted to have discovered.

peace,
Stanton
Welcome Stanton!!! 50 days is not laughing matter. A damn fine accomplishment. You are doing something in which many are incapable. Be sure to check out The Welcome Center

Post roll. Keep your word. Repeat. This can be done.

You got some pretty serious support here with you now. Support that can make all the difference in the world when you find yourself in a tight spot.
Quit: 3/23/10
All good things in all good time.
