You are a dad of 3, me as well. Read all of this: topic/1008859/1/

It helped fuel the fire of my quit and still does some days.

Here's another story that helps:
topic/1008847/1/#new

Read as much as you can on here. Post roll early and often and quit like you mean it every fucking day.

Quit on.

You are quitting for yourself... But your kids (at least some) are old enough to know what you are doing. When you look at them now, do you feel an extra sense of pride in your accomplishment? You should. And your wife is also proud of your accomplishment. The first few weeks suck like Monica Lewinsky on an Arkansas democrat. But look at that family and be proud. The pride never goes away, but the suck will.

Nice work.

Mike, this is one of the best decisions you've ever made. If you are anything like me, you are completely unable to beat your addiction alone. This is why posting roll is so very important and effective. By posting roll you are making a promise to everyone in your quit group and on KTC that you will not use nicotine for that day. Make this the first thing in the morning you look forward to, and never stop being involved in KTC to remind yourself about how you were slowly killing yourself before.

I've just crossed three weeks, and would have never gotten this far without the help of KTC brothers here. Send me a message if you need anything at all. Congrats on your decision to face your addiction.

Well, here it is. My name is Mike Reisma. After 8yrs of dipping, I've decided its my time to give it up for good. I have quit, multiple times, bbut never for myself. All the right reasons, in my head, but not in my heart. I've got a beautiful wife, and 3 kids, all under 11years. It's time to focus on my life, and put myself back in control. Props out to my brother, Tyler, for talking some sense into me also.
Welcome! You've decided to make your life better, and that's awesome! KTC will help you a toooooooon, but you have to use the tools provided. If you don't use the site properly then you will be right back where you are. So, at the minimum you should:

1. Post roll every single day. Do this first thing every morning without question. No internet? Tough! Call or text someone in your cave plan list (see topic 2). Posting roll is the corenerstone of your quit. You are promising a group of people that you are quitting for that day, and they intern are doing the same to you. If you don't think you can commit to posting roll daily, I really wouldn't advise using KTC. But, if you can commit, you will more than likely never be seduced by the NIC whore again.

2. Get a list of phone numbers from your quit group and make them part of your cave plan. These are people you could reach out to should you find yourself wanting to cave. Drinking to much or out with friends, and you feel like you're going to put a wad of poison in your mouth? Pause for a moment and call one of these people to help talk you out of it. It's part of your cave plan, and you need to have one in place.

There are countless stories of guys on here that have quit 500 days, and decided to cave. Why? They thought they had it under control, and perhaps didn't stay with KTC. You have to commit to this site, and your quit bros that you are in this fulltime.

I hope this doesn't sound daunting or to much. It's really not that hard to do. I'm glad you're here, and I look forward to seeing you in the HOF someday my friend! I quit with you today!

He was here this morning but no post. Get on the train doood.....if your brother can do it, then you sure as hell can to. Thats how I would feel if it was my bro anyway....Everything starts with posting roll. Make that promise and be a man of your word. The system has never failed if you can do that.

Repeat after me: I AM AN ADDICT!!! Welcome to KTC. I'm not gonna BS ya. Quitting sucks but it is sooo worth it. In the past you never quit, you just stopped for awhile. This place will help you quit for life if you follow a few simple rules:

1). read the Welcome Center and learn how to Post Roll.
2). Post Roll Daily
3). Honor your Word
4). be active around here (helping other quitters helps your quit).

You will be a part of Dec 14 quit group. December is when you will hit Hall of Fame. The HOF is not the end of this, it is just the beginning. Quitting is a lifelong journey.
