Fast forward 497 days... and the worst is behind you and each day is a new one. ODAAT brother. Congrads on 500!
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

Day 3 in the bag. Today was a little more difficult than the other two but made it through pretty well, I haven't any yelled at my wife! Tomorrow may prove to be the worst though, we are going to do some horse work, nothing much goes better with dipping than working out your horses. Suck it up and be a man!

Thanks for the encouragement from everybody. Day 2 has begun, posted roll and eating the crap of some sunflower seeds. Hasn't been to hard yet, stopped by a gas station this morning to get a Mt. Dew and didn't even look at the rows of dip cans sitting there for sale, never done that before. The support on this site is incredible, this is the first time in my life I have been excited about quitting something.
Smelling me some healthy strong quit right there.... Hang on let me stay a minute and fill my lungs with it...

Welcome May brother. Read as much as you can. There is a wealth of experience on this site. Odds are someone else has gone through whatever problem you are facing. Pm me if you need anything. Glad you made this decision. I'm quitting with you today.

Just had the last dip of my life about an hour ago. Started when I was 15 with a pinch of Kodiak a friend gave me, for the last 19 years the can has been in my pocket everyday. I've stopped dipping before but always went back, my longest stretch was 6 months, this time it is gone for good. I have been thinking of quitting for a while and a friend told me to check this site out, thank the Lord for forums like this. It'll be a great day when my kids don't have to ask if this is a coke or my spit!

Since I had my last dip today I am going to post roll tomorrow.

Welcome to the first day of your freedom. You CAN do this - oh, it's gonna suck for a few days here, and then maybe again later on - but you CAN do it. Post roll every day, without fail. Your daily promise to this community is something that you WILL need to get you through various minutes in the days ahead. I quit with you today.

Good job posting roll!

If you get itchy and the crave is biting on you, just come to the site and read. There are a lot of great people here that will help you through.

Remember; post roll, drink lots of water and get some exercise. It will help pass the nic through your system. The next few days will be hard, but you can do it!

Welcome!

Others will correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have thrown everything out and are 100% nic free then this is your day 1. Go on and post roll and commit to not use nic today.

I quit with you!
Great decision to quit! You will not regret it, I promise. Today is day one. We want to see your name on roll now! Welcome.
