I guess I am looking for someone to say I had the same thing, do not worry about it.
I had the same thing... do not worry about it.

In all seriousness, this is 99.9% absolutely fucking nothing to worry about. You (and more specifically your mouth) are going through some weird shit right about now. You've removed nicotine from the equation, but replaced it with gum, fake snuff, sunflower seeds, etc. That and the fact that you're hyper-sensitive to any changes you're seeing/feeling equal a good case of the "oh shits".

Keep in mind that this is coming from the worst hypochondriac on the board. I had more co-pays during my quit than I know what to do with (not to mention two ER visits for what amounted to heartburn).

Two general rules of thumb:

1. If it happens within the first 50-80 days of your quit, you can attribute it to your quit.

2. If it hasn't been there longer than two weeks, don't worry about it.

Keep on keepin on my friend...

Thanks bud, that is what I needed to hear.

How ironic would that shit be to quit and THEN get cancer? :D

Ok, I know I read on here that a few months after thier quit they have some funny things that pop up in their mouth.

I do have this one spot in my cheek where somewhat of a pimple pops up, is kind of sore, will pop, and the goes away in a day or so. I have had it pop up a few times in the last few months and then go away but it seems to be in the same spot. Anyone else have a similar problem? I guess I am looking for someone to say I had the same thing, do not worry about it.

I have been chewing a fair amount of hooch.

Well I am 17 days in and doing fairly well with things. Pretty sure I am going to gain a few lbs from all the food I am eating now but I am married and was too sexy before hand anyway so who cares right?

I get through my craves with some hooch, gun or seeds and have already been up against a bunch of tough situations only to rise above the urge. The best part is all of the money I am saving!!!!!!!!

Made the decision to buy myself a nice new gun on my 100th day! 'biggun'
Congrats on 17 days. Seriously. Just remember that there is no turning back. If you cave, you become a complete zero.
Not even a question!!!!!

Not only would you make me look like an ass bag on here, my wife would stop "doing things" for me. I can not let that happen.

Edit: Thanks for checking in though, I know I am early off and the threat of a verbal beat helos keep the monster at bay as well.

Well, made it through my first week and my first weekend!!!!! I am actually really proud of Saturday as I went to a barbeque with a bunch of friends who were dipping. I was there pretty much all day drinking beers and caving did not even cross my mind even when drunk B)

I know I have a LONG way to go but this felt like a small victory!
Great job JL!!! As Chewie says, It's huge!!!! Be cautious though, make sure you have and are ready to use your crave plan the next time you drink. Alcohol has taken down a lot of quitters here. Keep up the great quit!!!
I actually had my hooch with me and used it a few times when I normally would have had a dip. My body can not tell the difference now which is great!

Well day 4 and my body is now officially free off that horrible toxin!!!!!!!

The only urge is mental at this point and I WILL be stronger than it B)

Oh yeah and, can someone please make the Yankees start LOSING!!!!!! 'bang head'
Ahhhh Day 5. I am not going to lie but yesturday evening was fairly hard for me. Went out with a buddie for beers and some dinner. I love the fact I can still have some beers now, really have the urge to chew, and shut that urge down!

I was a little bummed as I had ordered some hooch wintergreen on Monday which should have been in the mail last night as well but never showed. I beleive that will make some of my cravings easier to deal with even though I was still steady as a rock! B)

This does bring up an interesting thought I am going to share. Let's take these fake chew companies.......similar to that of maybe a snake bite poison antidote company, or a 3rd degree burn cream company, maybe even a Hemroid cream company. WHY DO YOU NOT OFFER OVERNIGHT SHIPPING???????? I am pretty sure it would not matter the cost :o

Lastly (talkative today for some reason), as I have found when getting rid of an addiction, you very often need to swap it for another addiction. This for me has been shooting lately. This was something that I did a lot of anyway but now you would be very surprised how relaxing it is to go to the range and blow shit up with guns. I highly reccomend it!

Day 3 is here and I am still fighting the good fight. Kind of want to punch every moron I see in the throat but other than that little edgyness things are going really well!
Stay dedicated to what you are doing. I found days 2-5 to be challenging. Write down your reasons for quit and read them every morning and when times are tough. YOU ARE CALLING THE SHOTS. This is not easy but it is much easier than dealing with the consequences of continuing this habit.
I just need to do stuff to keep my mind busy and I am fine today!

Your doing great....I'm on day 38 and it gets better everyday. Seeds, Smokey Mt., and gum have been a lifesaver for me. Just post roll everyday and quit 1 day at a time.
