Welcome to quitting! Click on the welcome center tab up to for useful information about the site. Post roll daily! You will be in the April quit group. Here is the link: index.php?showtopic=7622st=0 Posting roll is the most important thing you can do. It is giving yourself and us your word that you will not take a dip for that day. Post your word and stick to it. Quit for today....just for today. Then do it again tomorrow. PM any of us if you need anything. We are all in it together. Welcome to the brotherhood!

I quit Saturday the 19th at 11:00 am. I had to take my daughter to softball practice and my son (4yrs) was sitting in the backseat of my truck. He said dad i want a big truck like yours (2500 Duromax Diesel 4 door extra long bed) and I said that would be great. He then said i can spit out the window like you when we stop at a red light and i said (great). Wait a minute what? This is all wrong so after 23 years of living with snuff in my mouth every waking minute i said i quit. This is the first time i have really wanted to quit and decided to do it. It's been tough but i bought some tabacco free smokey mountain snuff and it has really helped. Good luck to you all and lets get through day number 3 and move on down the road.....
Ah you will find that the story you tell is very much so similar with many of us on here. I too dipped for 23 + years. With my 2 sons looking at me yes they started with the big league chew gum and were copying me.

Sounds like you got what it takes, but remember this quit is for you, not your children (ie so if they piss you off at some point you don;t run for the can to 'show them').

Also you mention about luck. We here do not involve luck. What we do is post our word each day, then honor that word.

be strong
