OK, so I've been planning to quit for a long time but you know how that goes. I have also been wanting a KLR 650 for a while now but the wife unit is feeling miserly. So I said, If I quit, I'll get the KLR...she immediately said OK.

Isn't it funny how just the health benefits alone of quitting may not be enough. Maybe a little something to give a little push is needed.

I work as a Paramedic in a platnium mine in the middle of nowhere Montana. I am essentially a captive for the next 5 days, so even If I wanted a chew.....

No dead babies crawling on the ceiling as of yet but I do have some observations:

Kind of sad, like I just buried my favorite goldfish.
Smokey Mountain fake snuff tastes like balls but it works OK.

Anyhoo, nice to meet you all!
Taste like balls........?!?!?! Not gonna ask what kind of balls, or how you know, But I will welcome you to the site....read everthing you can, drink al ot of water and/or fruit juice, it will help flush the toxins, 3 days and the nicotine will be out of your system and the rest is just a mind game.... smart ball taster, paramedic like yourself should have no problem, but if you need anything, sing out, there are about 5000 of us ready to help you!

I am doing it for me...and a KLR 650.  Maybe its just the little extra I need.  I appreciate the support Mike.
I say get the bike. Hell yes. You will not have a revenge dip. Your wife WILL piss you off and you will have a revenge road trip. You will remain quit through it all.

As Mike says, read the wisdom on this site. Don't think for a second that you've got it all figured out.

And take this one day at a time. I can guarantee that someone in the mine has chew. Say no today. That's all you can ask of yourself. Make the promise again tomorrow...or don't. But you better get through today. I'm counting on it.
Set your mind right and fucking do it. 5 days stuck in a hole or not. DO IT!
If you save a little extra get yourself one of these for the wifey. Win-Win if you ask me.

A buddy of mine used this site to quit a year ago, has a KLR and has encouraged me to get one. We plan on going every where with tents, fishing poles, Las Vegas, maybe next summer the Alaska Hwy.

No revenge dips just revenge trips! Hell yes, I like it.

Thanks everyone, good advice!

I am doing it for me...and a KLR 650. I would've quit anyways. I just found a way to pay for the KLR with the chew money. Maybe its just the little extra I need. I appreciate the support Mike.

Not a good reason to quit bro. You have to do this for you and you alone. As soon as she pisses you off or it is winter and you cant ride you will have the revenge dip. I think you need to re evaluate why you are quitting and come back when you are ready to do this for you.
