HOF train took a little time off but now its time to head down South to Meigs Georgia to pick up AgPro! AgPro is married with an 8 month old baby boy. AgPro is a cotton farmer and Plantation Manager that enjoys quail hunting and cruising around in his 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 Flatbed.
AgPro started using Copenhagen when he was twelve and says the craziest thing he has ever done- used tobacco for 20 years! AgPro plans on celebrating 100 days with some beer, steak, and sleep (I might suggest another activity somewhere in the middle there!)
AgPro plans on signing up for 200 day saying that KTC works! He also wants to let the new quitters know that they shouldnÂ’t let the dippers get them down just ignore them and stay quit.
AgPro would like to thank all those who work hard for KTC and all of its members! Stay Quit!
Congrats AgPro on making 100 days. Hell, it was big deal to just make 50 days on your own
X2

Congrats on hitting the HOF.

Guess I'll share a little more about the 50 days before I joined this great community.  Well I have used smokeless tobacco for over half my life, it has controlled my life because I dipped from the moment I awoke to a few moments before bed.  There was nothing I could do without snuff in my mouth.  Engines would not crank unless there was dip in my lip.  I'm sure everyone here understands that.

I found the 100 Reasons to Quit Dipping very helpful, yet it was so amusing because our habits from dipping are quite stupid now looking back!  If I ever thought of quitting, it seemed as if I would dip more.  Well, on July 7th, 2013, I decided no more dipping.  The first days seemed unreal to me and were very tough, especially when everyone you see at work has turds in their lips.  I had to get used to driving trucks and equipment without it, which was super hard, because those used to go hand in hand.  I haven't been able to look at empty 20 oz bottles the same either.  They are reminders, bad reminders.  I make sure that none get left laying around the house or truck.

On July 10th, 2013, after having a MRI for my back I almost caved.  As soon as I left the hospital, I went directly to a convenience store to get me some dip, but instead I went for the plain sunflower seeds.  These helped me for about two weeks and then I slowly got off the seeds.  After about the 3rd week, I felt like I was missing something at random times during the day, which after slowing down to think about it, I was having cravings.  These cravings would come out of nowhere and were tough to shake.  Normally after about 15 minutes of feeling like I wanted a dip, my mind would seem to distract me from it for a while.  I still have cravings, not as often though, but they still come and go.

I hope that this may help someone down the line.  If I can be any assistance to anyone, please don't hesitate to contact me.  Stay Quit!!!

Understand it loud  clear. It's been bizarre to try to relearn everything you do on a day to day basis without a dip. Apparently people do many different activities throughout the day without a dip, like driving, fixing the car, playing golf, attending a class, lets see what else got accomplished this week without Cope? I loved the 100 reasons too as I think for any guy here not all of them would hold true but most would.

Welcome AgPro! We're all glad you're here and quit. We make a promise each day with our hof or hall of fame group (the folks you hit 100 days with) You're group is October, 2013~ click here.
Posting roll with your group every day and keeping your word is the back bone of the site. As you've already discovered, there's some great reading here too. The welcome center up yonder is where it's at but feel free to click here for help post roll. Enjoy, have fun, pull a seat up and help someone if you can. Congrats!
You're actually part of the October 2013 HOF class since you're 50 days in.

Your first post is eerily similar to mine. "Great information. My quit is proof that it works!" I never bothered actually joining a quit group or posting roll. I caved only to come back and do it right later on. Do it right now.

Read the Welcome Center link provided and post roll immediately.
Thanks for welcome and for the heads up on the Pre-HOF October 2013 Class...Stay Quit!
Oops, right link, wrong label... You've posted in spite of my assistance. Smokey isn't wrong too often. His intro page is one of the best...AgPro, just give a yell if there's anything you need.

Great website...day 50
« on: August 25, 2013, 04:28:00 PM »
Hey guys, my name is Charles and I have been quit for 50 days. Just about everything that this website says you can expect to happen when kicking the can will happen. I have had two dip dreams that I know of, and I still have cravings mainly after breakfast and lunch now. Also I associated dipping with everything, especially with my farming career. I couldn't do anything without a pinch of snuff. The hardest thing was not dipping during my daily routines that usually required snuff to accomplish. I'm sure everyone here understands that for sure!

So glad I found this website, so helpful for anyone on any day of being quit. Thanks!!!
