Welcome Trid. I'm glad to see that you are open to advice and that you are embracing the program. Ktc works without a doubt.

TRid,
Congratulations on your quit. It will be tough but you got it. Build a network of support for your quit, read, post and live chat.
I use this site as therapy, I get on when I think about chew and/or worry about cancer, it helps my quit.
We are all very similar, open or secret chewers, addicts and embarrassed about it.
ODAAT! PM me for digits,
Charles

jwright  AppleJack,
Thank you both for the sound advice. The past two days I've been checking the site more than I thought I would. I never realized the hold it had over me time and time again, but it's nice to read that the same thing has happened to everyone else. Everyone else here knows what the others are going through. Thanks for the support.

Welcome in brother. You've come to the right place.

Let me tell you... This plan works. It isn't always easy but it's pretty damn simple. To encourage you let me say this... I chewed for 25 years. 2 cans a day for a good chunk of it. I dropped it cold turkey 521 days ago. You can do this m'man... Truly. The best advice I can give you is to go all in. Get to know people, read and devour the information and inspiration on this site, get involved and STAY involved. Freedom is yours for the taking and... It's pretty damn cool.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Quote from: TRid
I've tried in the past but not sure I was truly committed to it in the past, as I would be done for a few weeks then fall of the wagon by either caving and buying some at the convenience store when getting a coffee or bumming one from one of the athletes. I usually caved out of stress or boredom, this is something I realize now after discussing my problem with my loving wife. I'm doing this for me, for my future, which includes hopefully a longer life without it and with my wife and family. I feel better, only day 9 for me, joined the site yesterday and I can already feel the importance of posting the roll daily and the support from everyone on the site seems truly genuine. Thanks in advance for all the information I've read and the support in the future.

TRID, welcome, you've made an amazing decision coming here my friend. Let me tell you I have been "quitting" for over 15 years and before coming to KTC on September 1st I was dipping at the height of my usage. Over the past 3 weeks I've relied on other members, the forum, posting roll with honor to it, using the chat, and most importantly getting accountability from this site, to help me say goodbye to nicotine.

You are in for a fight, but you now have a better chance than you ever have by coming here as we will all hold you accountable. Hit me up on PM if you need anything at all! Welcome and make sure to post roll Every DAmn Day.
