Mk good choice. I am 21 days deep now in my quit and it feels really good. It gets better as you go and of course there will be some very trying times. USE THIS SITE. Go look at my introduction and see what I had to say 5 or 6 days in. It wasn't pretty but that's what we are here for. Keep posting, watch your triggers and pm me if you need a number so I can talk you off the ledge.

Absolutely the best thing you could do for yourself. Get involved and read all info on site you can. You will find everything you need either posted or member wise to quit and stay quit. Now do whatever it takes to make this your last quit....one day at a time.

Mk good for you! The decision was all yours and you will stay quit if you really want it. I, for one, am here to help support anyway I can. Be prepared for what has triggered you in the past - watching sports, long drive, fishing, writing a paper, whatever - and have a plan to substitute, avoid, and conquer.

I finally decided to kick the habit last night at 11pm, i dumped my tin out in the grass, and threw it in the garbage. Ive been dipping for about 5 years, and i got to the point where ive had enough. Always worrying about cancer, or sores in my mouth. I was up to about a tin a day, and pretty much always had a chew in. Replaces one chew right away with another, My bottom gums have really hurt lately, so ive been dipping up top, which was another thing that made me realize its time to stop. I woke up this morning and went to class, than bought some sunflower seeds, gum, and beef jerkey chew, and im going good so far. I started getting cravings right after this, so i sat down on my laptop, and just started googling oral cancer, i figured if i look at some of the gross pics, the last thing ill want is to dip, and it worked pretty good, and i found this site, talked to some guys, and im ready to quit!
You have made the right choice. My journey started similarly to yours. Make sure to read all the links on this site and to start posting roll every single day. You should be in the June 2008 Class. If you ever need immediate help stop by the chat room or don't be afraid to ask for someone's number. We are all here to help eachother my friend.
