Powderroom, where are you? You found us. You found where to get what you want. You know what goes on here. The one thing missing is YOU. You and your backbone.

Man oh man what I would give to go back and find this site when I was 18. Of course, there was barely an Internet when I was 18. But I digress.

Chase, you are one lucky sumbitch my friend. You have been dipping for 3 years instead of 30 and you recognized at a young age how fucking STUPID that shit is and you came to the right place to quit. Good on ya buddy. You took the first step to a better life and chances are you did it before you suffered any permanent debilitating damage to you face.

If there's one piece of advice I can give you it is this: pay attention to the quit vets and take this site and your quit seriously. Dive in. Drink the Kool-Aid. Give yourself over to your quit. Live your quit. Love your. Be prepared to fight to the death to preserve your quit.

Post roll. Don't use nicotine all day. Wake up and repeat. It's that simple. Do that, and you will be quit.

Welcome aboard the crazy train. I think you'll enjoy the ride.
Dude you just have to do it. It won't be easy, not at all, but after about 72 hours the physical part is gone. Then you just have to find then happiness in being can free. It is no hardest or simpler than that. Good luck man we are all hrs for you

It's like gettin fat. The older you get , the harder it is to lose the lard ass. The longer you put that horseshit in your mouth, the harder it will be to stop. Stop now, rage out right here with us, and be free.

Chase,

You have an incredible opportunity staring you in the face. Join us today and everyday by quitting just the day. You have not been saddled with an addiction virtually your whole life like most of us have been. You're still as much of an addict, and it won't be any less difficult. I just happen to believe you have the chance to "nip this in the bud.", so to speak. The first couple of days really suck. Then you start to come out of the fog with your head clearing up a bit and you are well on your way to a solid quit.

Spend inordinate amounts of time on KTC, get brothers/sisters phone numbers. PM me if you need to resach out for someone. I'm available any time. Post roll call, have a dip-free day. Go to bed. Wake up and repeat. Easiest/hardest thing you'll ever do. And, certainly one of the most rewarding things you will ever do for yourself.

Reach down make sure your grapes are still there, man up and QUIT!!

Hi Chase, we quit cold turkey here, that's how we roll - and to answer your question, that is how it "works". We quit. We don't dick around with patches, gum, or slowly wean ourselves off nicotine. We give her the big fat 'Finger' and tell her to get out of our lives. At any cost. Head over to March and post roll. Give your word as a MAN that you will not use nicotine today. Your word is good for 24 hours, then tomorrow you repeat. You can do anything for 24 hours, right? There are thousands of us here that have done this, one day at a time. Welcome to the suck, it's a tough first three days. If you push through the first 3, you will be amazed how much better it gets. PM if you need anything, but most importantly, go post roll in March.

It's not because you're young. It's because you are an ADDICT. Luckily for you, you have in you a true desire and drive to quit at a very young age. Now, you need to get into your March quit group and post roll. Give your promise to yourself that you will not use nicotine just for today. Anyone can keep a promise for 24 hours, that's all you have to do. You don't have to quit forever, just for today.

Troubles quitting
« on: November 24, 2011, 09:30:00 PM »
Hello every body my name is Chase, I am 18 years old and I started dipping when I was 15. I only dipped when I could get my hands on it, but when I turned 18 it got worse. I dipped because like any young teen emotions broke out, and ever since I have just used it too keep my emotions and mind in check. Now I just want to quit. Before dipping I was at a nice 180 pounds and I felt good about my life. In the middle of my senior year I turned 18 I was just under a lot of personal stress and I lost motivation. I turned to dip to make me happy, but if I did not have a lip in my mouth I would be frustrated. I have tried everything and it just seems not to work. I don't know if it is cause I am young or not, but it is affecting my health, life, and grades in college and I want to quit and never go back. I do not drink or smoke at parties like most kids my age. I just dipped but it has affected me a lot and I want to quit so I came on here hoping for guidance and help.
