You can do this Michaela. If you're anything like I was, you're probably feeling as if you can't imagine doing half the things you do without a chew in. If you stick with this and post roll every day, you will surprise yourself. The physical symptoms go away quickly. You will surprise yourself and find that the mental part, the daily triggers, fades away pretty quickly. After a couple of times of sitting in traffic without a chew in, you won't think too much about chew the next time you're in traffic. Same goes for mowing the lawn, watching tv, taking a crap, anything. You are smart to be addressing this 3 years into it. Almost everyone on this site wishes they had been smart or disciplined enough to quit after three years. That would have been 17 years ago for me. Quitting 17 years ago would have saved me thousands of hours of wasted late night tv just to get a peaceful chew in. I would have had so many better weekends with my wife and kids instead of being grumpy and jonesing for my next dose of nicotine. I would have felt so much better about myself and my future if I had quit then. I would have saved so many wasted hours of worrying about cancer or living a shorter life because of chew. The damn logistics of hiding cans, spitters, chew breath, running out of chew, spilling chew spit on your clothes, etc. would have been eliminated and I could have spent my energy on more meaningful things. You are smart to quit now. If you cave, you will blink your eyes and you will be back here 17 years later with 17 years of wasted time and regret. Stick with this. I am proud to quit with you.
