I've been a 1-2 can Copenhagen wintergreen for six years. Today was my last
Day on this crap. I am sitting here wondering if I have cancer. My tooth
Is sore and my cheek is swollen I've been feeling around my cheek for days trying to get
The courage to go to a doc. The inside of my mouth is ok except
For a receding gum but man I am freaked. Never putting this garbage in again and
Not using patches. Has anyone ever had symptoms like this before? Let the quit begin.

I had a problem like yours, my teeth were fine but I had really fucked up my gums where I kept the chew and had exposed root etc.


The first thing I did was go to the dentist and had him look, he wanted to take out the teeth where I had fucked up the gums, I told him no. So he sent me to a Periodontist who checked everything and said we can fix everything but it would require a painful procedure knows as root planing\deep scaling and I would have to see her every 3 months, and I would have to do a bunch of special shit to take care of my teeth daily.


This was a couple months ago and I feel great now, best I have in a long time.


So like the other guys said quit being a pussy and go see the dentist, if you dont like what he says go see another one. Tell them ahead of time, I chewed for XXX years and i am XX days quit and trying to fix stuff.

I was not talked down to or scolded at all, they were more than happy to assist in my quit and get me fixed up.

First of all, welcome and good decision. Second, get your ass to May'12 PreHOF and start posting up there everyday. To learn how to post roll go up to that little red tab named 'Welcome Center' and read 'How to post roll', live on this site if you're serious about your quit. Last, go to a denist...don't be a pussy about it, just go.

Yes, many of us have had similar symptoms. Mine went away. Congrats on your decision to quit. Don't worry about "never putting this garbage in again" for now lets just do this one day at a time. That's how it's done around here.

Hit the Welcome Center (upper left on screen) and then go post your day 1 in the May 2012 group. That's your new home for the next 100 days.
