I'm betting he doesn't look at his intro to see these messages, strictly an occasional post and run guy...
Dan, we all want to see you suceed, but we recognize through the behaviors you demonstrate that you are someone who doesn't take their quit seriously in the way KTC is designed to be taken. You doen't appear to want to post daily, nor build an accountability network. Why? Do you want to be quit, or are you so beaten down as a slave to your addiction that you don't truely believe you can be quit for the long haul? We all hope we are wrong, but we have seen these same behaviors play out many times, rarely with a positive result.
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.

dude, you post a day 26 but you only have 14 accumulative posts. What kind of half assed crap is that? Are you here to quit or are you here to stop on your own terms and do it your way?
Since he posts so little, might be a while before you get any answers. Seems he has some more important things to do.

Hey Dan welcome aboard the quit train, it's a daily struggle but one I'm sure you are aware of as most people don't just "stumble" upon this site.  We will help you but of course you have to quit for yourself.

I'm 27 and said when I graduated college I would quit dipping because I didn't want to do it in "the real world" Well Dan i've been quit a long 170 days to this point but prior to this I was the guy with a spit cup in my cubicle receiving e-mails from HR that this was my "final warning" and tobacco products were prohibited at work. Don't be that guy, I was that guy for so long.
at least you had the manners to get a spit cup. i would just fill up the trash can in my cube with brown spit. i always felt so bad for the cleaning ladies.
All I've gotta say is one of the following is the truth A) your spring break sucked total ass and you spent it watching reruns of The Golden Girls, 2) you caved like a mother fucker, or 3) you are the most bad ass quitter in the world... tell me you went to the clubs and drank and danced with the ladies and didn't smoke or throw in a dip... just tell me that is true. I simply don't believe it.

The simple laws of probability are that you caved, you're a coward, and you won't admit it, now you'll just slink off and dissapear so you don't have to face the consequences, because one thing is for certain, we'll all recognize first week symptoms if they start showing up in your posts.

Mr. Skoal, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Hi Dan, great decision to quit now before the "real world". Being quit will benefit you in many more ways than you realize. I dipped most of my adult life and I know it hurt me. So, stay quit!

Welcome Dan! I was also in a June group, but I was in June of last year, at over 365 days of a 24 year habit I can tell you it's worth it.

Few things make this site work.

1. Drink the Kool-aid, dont just dip your toe in the water of quit jump the hell in. Get into your group and get accountable and get ready.

2. Make connections, get your battle buddies. I know this sounds crazy but I have over 100 quitters numbers in my phone. Most of them I have never met, but they have been there for me in a bad time and they will be there for me again if needed!

3. Post roll every day! Make it the first thing you do. When you wake up in the morning, take that option off the table by posting roll. I quit every morning, start posting roll and quit with me.

Hey all.

I know I'm a bit late to the game, but i just found this website. I quit all forms of tobacco (cigs and dip) on Saturday, March 8. I had dipped from 16-22 and smoked sporadically throughout that period. Im graduating from college in December and want to be tobacco free before i enter the "real world".

Thanks all.

DapperDan

P.S.  where can i find my HOF group in order to post for roll call?
