so I quit dipping on Monday and struggled a bit yesterday but still quit.  My wife actually suggested I try to get back on to the Kill the can for some support that I might not get from her since she doesnt understand the quit.  It's been 4 or 6 years since I last tried to quit.  so here I am
What was your original name man?

You have to come back with that name and answer the following questions:

What happened?
Why did it happen?
What are you doing differently this time?
I think it was Orange Crush
I left the shop to go work for the family business and thats when I quit. Things got bad started losing things and the calm of the chew got me through or so I thought. Quit the family business and currently back in the automotive manufacturing gig./ This time I dont think I'll do anything different from the start just make sure I post roll everyday. Got past the 100 day mark last time and got careless with checking in and holding myself accountable.

That looks like you right there by that description. From my reading, it looks like you started out in the April 2008 group, caved, and then eventually became an (ex) hof'er in August 2008.

So, you started using when times got bad? Hmmm....and you weren't posting? Double whammy. There are no excuses to going back to using.

When times are good, you practice for the bad. When times are bad, you lean on what you practiced.

Do not say that you'll do "what you did last time" because it ended in failure. You need to change it up. You need a new plan. One that will keep you here. One that will work in times of good and bad.

You turned to chew last time when times were bad. What makes this time different? How do I know that in the heat of battle and I need your support, you won't be off snuggling with a can of dirty cancer weed?
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Did I do this right? I quit the 1st of the year and could use a little help. On chantix and it seems to help a bit. Excersize the last couple of days helped also. Its gonna be hard the first 2 or three days only, right? Just kidding I've tried quitting before but not with this unique system of friends that I hardly know. Were do I go from here?
Head over to the April 2008 group, post roll, introduce yourself, and get ready for a fun time!

A Quit Plan: Do you have one?

CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit.
After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco. SportDad 1/13/05
