I'm on day 18, farther than I have ever been before. I'm proud of myself for the work I have put in so far. I still know there is a long long road ahead but I'm ready to take each day by storm and live a clean and healthy life. I just want to thank my fellow apes who have given support and advice, but also the vets who have given me their input and shared experiences. Let's keep fighting together.
Hang in there brother! We all got each others back! Proud to be quit with you! ODAAT!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

That's some serious help you have being offerred above ^^^^^. Follow what those guys say, they've all gotten many other quitters through the hardest parts!

Each hard time is one more time you WON'T have to get through again. Just beat this bitch back one challenge at a time. One victory = one in your column, one situation you are teaching this evil addiciton that you aren't going to fall for any more. There are all sorts of tricks it throws your way, but you CAN do it. Many here, and elsewhere, have. Just follow the program as closely as possible-- it works. Post every day. Get to know some friends from here- newer and older quitters both. Record your journey here to remind you what you've been through. Reach out for help if you need it. It's all up to you now, everything else is here for you. Can you be as tough as the 30, 40, and 50 year old men around here? I think so- I've seen a few in their early 20's make it so far, and I think you can.
This info helped me early on, and still does today: https://whyquit.com/whyquit/linksaaddiction.html

Quitters I’ve met so far: Ihatecope, >Pinched<, T-Cell, grizzlyhasclaws, Canvasback, BaseballPlayer, Cbird65, ERDVM, BradleyGuy, Ted, Zeno, AppleJack, Bronc, Knockout, MookieBlaylock, Rdad, 2mch2lv4, MN_Ben, Natro, Lippizaner, Amquash, ChristopherJ, GDubya, SRohde  -- always eager to meet more!

One day in and you already found your correct quit group?!!! Gentlemen, we have a damned GENIUS in our midst. Congrats on a great choice! Learn how and why we post roll. Then do it...everyday.

Quitting is done ONE DAY AT A TIME. Don't think about tomorrow, next week or whatever. We'll deal with them when they get here. All you need to focus on is being quit for today. Give your word and keep it. That's all there is to it.

GREAT JOB. YOU GOT THIS!

TH17, it's great you have made the decision to quit. The worry you mentioned has happened to all of us who have become addicts. Don't let fear be your primary motivation though.Let the benefits you desire of being quit motivate you instead. No one will bs you and say it's easy but rather more likely one of the most challenging things you will ever be faced with. Be strong. You mentioned you played hockey but are you a hockey player? If you are then you know the difference and know what I mean when I say be a warrior. Let the character traits you learned that made you a hockey player help you overcome and win the quit game. The mental part of this quit game is really paramount.

brother you're doing the right thing by nipping it in the bud at 22. It only gets more difficult as you get older. You're my hero today pM me if you need digits or just someone to talk you down. you got this man remember nicotine has no IQ it only gets into your body if you put it there.
