The problem is not the problem.  The problem is your attitude about the problem.  Do you understand?

Welcome Pitts,

As others have said it looks like you belong in May quit group. You will find it much more helpful to be with the group that is at the same phase of quit as you are. So come on over to the May 3-balled quitters and start posting every day!

P.S. Get some phone numbers right way!

PittspukeDude,

Hopefully the name is for where you live, and not for the NFL team you root for. :P

I help those of us in May 2011 keep track of roll call and such. if you are at 41 days, you belong with us. We are a merry band of misfits, but take quitting seriously so please come in with the right attitude.

We will gladly have you in our group; we ask 2 things:
1. Post roll daily.
2. Honor your promise.

Thats it. We may bust your balls for posting late, but its mostly good natured (as long as its not habitual).

This is WHY we post roll call:
Roll Call - Why?l

And this is how we post roll:
How to post Roll Call

If you are ready:
May 2011

I am also sending you a PM with my number. if you get lost, feel free to call or text me.
The problem is not the problem.  The problem is your attitude about the problem.  Do you understand?

New quitter...........
« on: March 24, 2011, 04:00:00 PM »
I've been checking out this site for the past month or so since I decided to quit but finally manned up and decided to register and post my story.

I am 32 years old. I had my first dip when I was 18. Much like the typical story I started using to be "cool" and of course to get a buzz. I used heavily in my college years through my mid 20's. I remember being poor in college and not worrying about what I was going to eat but instead making sure I had enough money for a can of dip. If necessary I would use change, sell my cd's, it didn't matter. Eventually I cut back on my use but still would hurry home from work so I could put in a wad of goodness, or atleast what I thought was goodness. For the past 4 or 5 years I would strictly use when I was drinking which equated to two or three dips a week. I realize this was still two or three too many!!

It has been 41 days since my last dip. I am feeling pretty strong but am not naive enough to think there aren't still challenges ahead. I know one urge or one moment of weakness can put me back to square one. That being said I won't give into anything and am looking forward to living a life free of the can.

I did have a question regarding roll call. I'm not sure where to find it and where I should post? Any help is appreciated!
