So he posted a day 6 a couple days ago, then vanished. I'm putting this here just in case he ever comes back. I'm hopeful he will....

Harley rider,

Good Sunday morning to you. Noticed it's been a couple days since you were here. That's generally not a sign that things are going well with a new quit. Forgive the direct approach here, but got your email address through the KTC system and thought I'd drop a note.

You see, I know how it feels when trying to quit dipping. I dipped Copenhagen for nearly forty years. It is one MOTHER of an addiction and the withdrawal is absolutely not fun. But it can be done. I did it. Thousands of others do it. You can do it. You just have to make up your mind that you WANT it BAD enough to DO IT. I have run many extensive web searches over the past couple years trying to find a documented case of nicotine withdrawal actually killing someone. I can't find a single case. That tells me that no matter how bad you feel during a crave, if you gut it out, it will pass. You'll still be alive, and you'll be one step closer to freedom.

That's what I wanted to tell you. You need to decide, and from what I read, sooner, rather than later, cause you're damn near as old as me.... Time's ticking bubba!

Respectfully,

Joel

Well Harley, your in the right place. Great job of posting you intro. But now you gotta follow up by getting in your quit group and posting roll. That's how it works. If today is your Day 1, then you will be in the December quit group. Get in there and make your promise.

I am from Tennessee and am 54 years old. This site has been key in support just by reading posts. Tossed the can and used Nic gum for 1 week. After reading this site, tossed the gum 1 week later. Officially Nic free 6 days and love it. My mouth feels so much better. Thanks to everyone on this site for your support and I hope to aid others in the future.

Welcome Jeff. Keep posting roll, and refuse to cave.

Remember that nicotine did nothing for you except keep you addicted. I'm 219 days quit after using almost 25 years. I have to remind myself of that every day.

Proud to quit with you.
