Hey all my name is Ryan and I live in Hawaii....obviously.

I've been going back and forth with trying to quit on my own and I'm really hoping this place can help me kill the can.

I want to quit because I know the dangers but I always thought that I could rise above it.

Ryan, great decision. I would advise you that for this to be sucessful you post your promise everyday and get rid of the words hope, try, might, etc. We don't use those words here, we quit today, nothing else.

Hit me up if you need some help with anything.
A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.

Ryan,

Consider this a warning and a welcome. You need to understand that you are an addict. You are addicted to nicotine. The only way you can win this battle is to come to the site, make a daily commitment to yourself and the community here by posting roll, and honor your word. Do this everyday, one day at a time. You will go through some intense fog during the first few days so be prepared and stay close to the site. You will need to be able to navigate the site and use all the tools provided here to help in your quit. You should know how to get to live chat when you cannot get in touch with someone supporting your quit. You will need to exchange contact info with as many people as possible, those both in your quit group and some veterans of the site as well. I say this to you from experiences still fresh in my head. I remember the fog, the quickening, and the suck. I will never forget those days. They branded me and made me a free man. A man strong and determined to not let my addiction steal away my life from me. Is your desire to quit this strong? I do not mix words and, if you choose to be quit, I will stand beside you everyday. PM me for contact info, if you can commit to the quit.
