So glad you found this site, I was in your exact situation over a month ago... Now looking back, this site is probably the only way I could ever really quit... But I made it and you can too, b/c I tried to quit like a million times in the past.. Sign roll everyday, promise to be quit, keep your word, get some text buddies, eat candy, sunfllower seeds, etc.... Just do it ODAAT and fight through the day... Its really the only way... Check your inbox, you need anything let me know k

Make sure you go ahead and post roll with your quit group. They are anxious to have you join them. To learn about posting roll go to the welcome center. There you will figure out roll and also read why we post roll. It is truly the foundation of this website. Read Read Read this website too. It is impossible to think about caving when you read inspiration from men and women fighting for their lives to stay quit. Keep quitting
Thanks Starr. Just posted-this place is truly amazing...I need to get some of my buddies on here as well. Anyone have any recommendations for Herbal chew? Been looking at a few online and some reviews on the site so far but would rather get a first hand recommendation.
Any herbal chew will work. None of it tastes like tobacco though. Also sunflower seeds, bubble gum, atomic fireballs, toothpicks, etc. Just to help you when the cravings hit.

Make sure and post roll every single day. Quit this stuff one day at a time. Every morning when you wake up just go ahead and make your promise. It will keep you quit. You can do it.

Wow-thanks for all of your support guys. Amazing stuff.

I ripped that patch off shortly after posting this. How weak am I-just another sign that this truly is the time to quit. After a good workout yesterday I slept like a baby. Having some brief anxiety, freaking out about some a small white bump on my gums and noticing oral issues with my tongue. Not sure if this is my mouth healing or my anxiety kicking in as the nicotine is dwindling.

Biggest issue is not physical withdrawal-I can handle sweating and insomnia. My biggest issue is my pyschie, thinking about chew, wondering if I have done irreversible damage.

24 hours without a drop in my bloodstream. Just have to make it 24 more.

JJ: As you have read, this site is pretty easy. Congrats on finding it. The bad ass quitters on this site will save your life if you let them.

Procedure:
1) Promise to not use nicotine today (post roll daily)
2) Repeat

Send me a PM if you need anything.

JJ, I patched for 30 days before I took it off............it doesn't make it any easier, the suck is gonna be the suck. Save the band aid and jump in, and I promise I'll quit with you.

... have chewed a few pieces of gum and bought a pack of 14MG patch's.
This is not how you beat an addiction. You're still feeding the monster.

Don't let the fear rule you... you're better than the drug you think you need.

Rip it off and let's rock...

JJ, I thought you said you've been browsing this site for quite a while. If you've been paying attention you'd know that this is a no nicotine site and when we quit, we quit now.

Your first 2 responses come from two of my favorite quitters on this site because when it comes to quitting, the quit like fuck every damn day. They take control of their life and their quit and make sure all those who surround themselves around their quit know that they are in deed quit. Catch my drift. Everybody else here, quits just like they do and we do that by posting roll every day and promising not to use nicotine for that day. Make this promise with us, you will not regret it.

Well here I am-finally making an earnest attempt to quit after browsing this site for quite a while and using it to help me with other short lived cessation attempts.
We don't make attempts, we do. Also you should know by being around the site that this is a no nic site. Get rid of the patches and gum and post roll. This is your daily promise to not use nicotine (any form) for today. Do this for today and return tomorrow and post again.

You also want to keep this site close to you are read, and create a plan. What are you going to do when your buddy offers up a dip? Are you going to cave? or are you going to have KTC on your side? Read Read Read there are some badasses on this site that have a lot to offer.

Well here I am-finally making an earnest attempt to quit after browsing this site for quite a while and using it to help me with other short lived cessation attempts.

My first experience with chew was when i was 15 years old-nearly 10 years ago. I remember being so sick to my stomach and dizzy sitting in the car was hardly achievable. Throughout my late teens I would chew occasionally. When friends had a can I would bum a dip, but I never bought a can. Being a baseball player it was so prevalent I suppose I was desensitized to it.

About 4 years ago I started buying cans and chewing more regularly. Not aggressively-it was just as likely I would not have a can on me as I would. However, as all of my friends chewed the opportunity for me to bum a chew was always there.

So here we are today. After many attempts to quit that have varied in range from 5 days to a few weeks I have reached my wits end. Having some health issues with tension, stress and anxiety due to a job I started about a year ago. I quickly switched from long cut to pouches for their perceived cleanliness and was crushing 2-3 cans per week including days where a whole can would be killed mostly after I got off of work (cringe thinking about this).

Long story short for the past week I have been cutting back-have not purchased a can in 2 weeks but was still bumming them from my buddies. After feeling especially burnt out on Tuesday night I bought a can of pouches and took a few that night. It really felt great to get that release, and stimulation.

Ultimately this led me to decide there is in fact a problem here. I took my last chew yesterday morning on the way to work just out of habit. My gums were sore, the buzz was not there and a wave of depression rushed over as I realized I was the mouse not the man. Worrying about my gums, my health, about the two white bumps on my gums, my reluctance to see a doctor-but mostly the fact that before it gets any better it must get worse.
.

Last night I threw those pouches out of the window of my car as I was driving home. The first nights sleep was bad-sweat, odd dreams, and some brief insomnia. The first step to getting better. I am taking all of the resources at my disposal and have chewed a few pieces of gum and bought a pack of 14MG patch's.

Long story short the plan is to take my life back from this vice to allow for a clearer head and more feeling in my mouth and gums! As I sit here with my patch on distracted at work I cant wait to think about how I will feel 3 months down the road.

Any help or pointers anyone can provide would be much appreciated. Can't wait to kill this can.
Mr alcoholic - Let's get you off vodka and on gin for a few weeks to help.

Sir coke addict - stop the coke but let's switch over to heroin for a few weeks.

Nicotine (chew) addict - let's direct administer nicotine to your bloodstream for a couple of weeks to help make it easier.

Man I was so on board with your story... Then you had to mention the patch...

These examples are all the same thing. Nine of them make any sense once you take off your addict glasses and look at reality. You are wasting your time using the patch. You wanna quit? Then quit! No nicotine! None! If done weak ass like me can do it, some bad ass dude like you can! Flush those patches. Tell your friends that your will crush their ballz in a vice if they give you and nicotine, and let's get this show on the road!
