Southtx...

You came back... took a truck load of shit from us Sat... and still posted early Sun and Mon. Most people would have run off after the beating you took. Glad you stuck around.

Welcome back to the Sultans! Post EDD! Proud to be quit with you today.

Todd...

NO!!! This is NOT how it is done. You don't absent yourself for more than a month and then waltz into the Sultan's house and plop down your "day 64".

Either explain to September why you're different or be gone.... Better yet, JUST GO AWAY. We don't need you, and your actions certainly indicate you don't need us, so why crap in our house?

EDIT/UPDATE....

Okay so I got your email. Thanks for responding. Maybe we need to have a restart.....
The whole purpose of this site is to help quitters by building a web of accountability around them to make what is a VERY HARD thing a bit easier. One of the primary ways this web is built is by a DAILY roll post with your quit group....you can't post and then like a month later post again....doesn't work that way. I am willing to work with you, but you have got to explain where you were for the past month or so.... (I'll post this in September as well).

Today marks day 28 of my quit. 13 year can a day habit. I lost my uncle to dipping a couple of years ago and about 30 days ago my step-dad was diagnosed with tounge and throat cancer from dipping and smoking. He quit a few years back but it still got him. That's what got me....I'm 33 now and I want out of this nico addiction. Went cold turkey, just gum seeds and smokey mountian. Its been an interesting 28 days. Thanks for the site guys, this thing is awesome.

Thanks,
Todd
I quit on my own too. Then I hit a wall and found the KTC live chat. Those brothers in there talked me off the ledge. Then I went out on my own again and times got hard... I found my way back here to the site and haven't left.

Do I think I could stay quit on my own? Sure... But do I KNOW i will stay quit here with my brothers? Hell Yes.

Proud to quit with you today.

Todd,

Welcome. You just Might be the LAST of the Sultans....not too many people come in here with damn near a month quit under their belts. Congrats. Sent you a PM. You got some great advice here from a bunch of veterans...best piece is to read as much as you can.. even after the physical nicotine's out of your system, you've got a lot of rewiring of brain synapses and receptors to go through (for like 6-12 weeks, according to the NIH). Helps to understand why even after a month the fog's still not totally gone.
Go join cavman and the Sultans and post roll daily. You've done a helluva job, but more struggles are to come. We can help you. You can help some others.
Thanks for the honest introduction, south. It's a great reminder of just how serious this addiction is. As others stated, post roll every day. First thing you do in the morning is post and honor your promise to not use nic for the day. If there's anything I can do to help your quit, please shoot me a PM (top right corner of your screen). I'm quit with you.
Quitters I've met in person : Keddy, boelker62, Big Brother Jack, baitbanjo, SirDerek, Chewie, Scowick65, theo3wood, mcarmo44, MonsterEMT, Bronc, dforbes, rocketman, Lance from SD, kdip, wastepanel, quitspit, basshaug, greenspidy, 30yrAddict, btdogboy, cmark, chrisTKE1982, Jeffro Dolfie, Clampy, carlh2o, JGlav, ReWire, Chewrouski_Philly, Sranger999, walterwhite, DWEIRICK, spit cup, FranPro, ericfluck

Welcome bud, I quit with you today. I myself took 37 days of being quit by myself before finding KTC. I was basically drowning, struggling ... and the nic bitch was asking me back. By the grace of god I found this website, joined (like you), drank the kool-aid offered (by reading everything I could and embracing the principles here (i.e.: POST ROLL every damn day), and started owning my quit. You can own your quit too ... Start kicking ass in here. C'mon in, the water feels like quit ...
My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are.

Welcome to the site and congrats on 28 days :) Start posting roll right away in the September quit group. We post right away in the morning everyday. That is giving your promise to not use nicotine that day. There is a lot of info in the welcome center on how to post roll along with other important information. If you have any questions on anything let me know.
